Oh, my goodness - crystals, hurray! We have smoky quartz crystals here in Montana - double-terminated and almost black, called "Montana diamonds." Love your energy, Liz Kreate. :)

How things have changed, I used to fossick there, about 35 years ago and it wasn't unusual to dig out geodes the size of a football with between 10 and 20 big black crystals in them. we hardly bothered with the ones Wall and Liz are going into raptures over.

Thanks for commenting Pete. We've been chasing gold and gemstones for a long time and for Wal for over 50 years. We remember really well the sizes and amounts in the good old days when we like you disregarded much of this stuff. Unfortunately, those who chase gold, gems and minerals these days are not so fortunate to have that sort of abundance available to them. Our videos try to reflect what is average for todays prospector so as not to discourage them from partaking in the hobby. Cheers, Liz

Wow. Usualy, i treat smoky quartz in cabochon form for 3month. I put them in the cup with half water and half virgin oil, then i placed them under sun and moon😂. Its shiny, and blink like a star😘

Bonjour à vous. Vous me faites toujours rêver avec vos expéditions de prospection. Cependant je suis désolée pour vous de la perte d'information et de gemmes avec votre façon d'utiliser un tournevis. Je suis archéologue et sur les chantiers nous utilisons des truelles triangulaires en acier forgé, ce qui permet d'avoir le geste non destructeur et très précis tout en gardant la possibilité d'utiliser un peu de force sur le roc. Ainsi vous pourriez avec de la patience avoir toutes vos géodes intactes avant extraction.
