Re: making an unhappy toddler happy - I read some great advice years ago that’s always helped me: “Just add water” Water play, a bubble bath, take them to jump in a puddle, go swimming, make a squash/juice as a treat, ice cubes…literally run a tap…anything (safe) with water!

Molly she's at the age where's she figured out that crying and screaming gets her what she wants. You've gotta start teaching her she gets rewarded for good behavior and when she's being cranky just set her in the play pen for a little bit. It took me several months to realize that my daughter who never cried and all the sudden started crying/being cranky all the time had just figured out how to get her way and/or my attention. She responded really really well with me just setting her in the play pen when nothing was making her happy. I usually would give her a sippy cup and turn the tv on and she would chill out. I hope this helps.

I think the sadness is coming from teething. She reaches for her ear like it’s hurting her. A typical sign of teething because the teeth hurt the ears too. Calpol and Nelson’s Teetha, teething granules can help her pain. Also she can watch Sing And Sign, also Baby Einstein - baby Wordsworth & baby MacDonald all will help with communication & language so she can communicate more and tell you how she’s feeling xxx
