A resin bloom with a new technique.

In this video I am trying a new technique of a resin bloom. I used Lets Resin 1:1 casting resin of 16oz. After mixed it was left to sit until it reached a temperature of 40 degrees celsius. I decanted a portion of 60ml for the white blend into a separate cup. For the white bloom mix I used 5 drops of Castin Craft white and 5 drops of Lets Resin white alcohol ink. After the clear portion reached the desired temperature it was decanted into the mold and any bubbles were removed. I then added a center of a solid plastic red heart and surrounded it with red AB crystals. I chose to make my petals with the white resin using the cup versus a piping bag. I poured my petals throughout creating a flower design. this was left to cure. I then added a color layer using the Lets Resin 1:1 casting resin mixed with 10 drops of Castin Craft red, Lets Resin mica powder rose red and tiny bit of dark purple. #resin #epoxyresinart

Gorgeous!! And oddly, I love that you can see the heart through the bottom. It's like saying I love you from "the bottom of my heart" lol ♥ Perfect tray and coasters for a Valentine's Day celebration!

Thank you for another wonderful upload. I think your tray and coaster blooms were very pretty. I loves the background colour you made it was very effective and made the white stand out that's for sure. Try adding a drop of black ink into the mixture to darken a red or purple. The tray & coaster are pretty

This is so outstanding. Look at those beautiful pedals. I thought you were not supposed to spray alcohol in a bloom, but it sure did not hurt your fantastic bloom. ❤❤❤. Is the red casting craft a paste? I know the dark is ink. Blooms are my favorite, just having a hard time creating a beauty.

Thank you. You sure can spray alcohol on a bloom, it doesn't change anything. The red Castin Craft is a liquid, a thick liquid, I use the white, red and black in that brand, I get mine at my local Hobby Lobby, they have other colors, like green, blue and a pearlescent white. Blooms are like a box of chocolates, you never know what your gonna get...lol

It was the marabu rainbow glitter alcohol ink.. Love that ink, it just gives a shimmer of sparkle.

Rose flower mold? I didn't use a rose flower mold in this video. Are you talking about the red rose handles? I didn't make those, I bought those from our local Hobby Lobby, I didn't link them since I didn't use them.

@@resinmeup cool! Interference PIGMENTS were just released by maybe just resin... Can't remember for sure. But they're liquid. I just think the softness of the interference color would look really pretty & delicate with maybe a really soft background of whatever shift the interference is!

@@loriphillips9790 Lori, no Im in Salina. It actually got up in the 60's that week. Wichita is usually about 10 degrees warmer than we are. My daughter lives there, she is a Veternarian.
