@@ogkpopstan Bekuh has been with Blackpink as a writer since the beginning, she gets the BP style and what they have gone through. She wrote the English lyrics for "You Never Know", which is a pretty deep song if you do a lyrical analysis. LØREN (로렌) did the Korean lyrics for "You Never Know" also very deep in the Korean lyrics. If you have not reacted to that one, it is a good one, that cuts to the struggles BP has gone through in their journey.

This Born Pink is best to be heard from start to finish. Born Pink is the transition phase from letting go of something so beloved to facing something new and worth doing. That transitional phase has its own eras... Pink Venom was the old sound being chaotic due to the fact that *change is inevitable* . Shut Down was the false confidence of closing off a page acting as if you're done with the book but in actuality not ready to put it down yet. Typa Girl is that self reliant confidence we think we exude but in eventuality what we want is for someone to just say... YEAH YEAH YEAH begging for those around us to just accept us and enjoy our brokenness. Hard To Love is that phase where we catch ourselves and warn others that we are indeed broken from the fact that change needs to happen. The Happiest Girl is that grit of emotions that plays out trying to CONTROL that Emotional low always gets to be too prolonged and feels too dire.. Tally is that self realization that no one is keeping count on what we do... No matter who we are, what we have or how we act... No one cares more but ourselves and this self realization of freedom... Prepares us to be... READY FOR LOVE which the kind of love that you need not to wait for and if you do no matter what there will be love... Coming from oneself. Now all these... If you listen to the sound The first two is close to the sound Blackpink always had. beat drops, harsh confident rap, onomatopoeias. Then the third is full confident rap with a bit of that onomatopoeia. The fourth is full korean with only a few words in english (perfect for south korean karaokes) but the sounds are becoming experimental. Detached from that Blackpink flavour. From then on up to tally where the confidence gets picked back up. And ending with another Blackpink-esque sound but this time... In *collaboration* of future industries (mobile gaming, VR.) From the sound to aesthetics to lyrics to flow... Born Pink is an Experience. Such is what Blackpink does. Deliver experience.

The Happiest Girl just grabs you, takes you to this journey, makes you feel these emotions even when you are not in that place, more so when you are, it does not let go and then in the end, the change in tempo just brings you up and gives you that strength...wow! There's a demo of this song published here in KZfaq about 2 years ago actually. But the way the Pinks sang this and the harmonies, ong it's just so beautiful! The song showcases the Pinks voices just wow!🖤💗✌️

I may be crazy but I interpret The Happiest Girl as a very uplifting song. I think they have finally found the strength to leave a bad relationship and acknowledge that even though it hurts and is sad they know they can never be happy until they leave. Blackpink are just so amazingly talented it blows me away.

Love your reaction! These two are probably my favorites in the album, due to the lyrics and how they delivered them. Totally different feelings in both. It is ok to cry during Happiest Girl, my eyes still malfunction after listening to it so many times. Totally agree about the versatility the BP showed in this album. I think it was very purposeful that they broke every mold that people tried to put them in. Their bangers are great, but especially Happiest Girl shows that they lack nothing in vocal skills and putting emotion into their work.

Wow, that emotional side of you surprised me. I am also surprised that you did not mention Lisa’s first singing song. I am not/never a fan of sad songs. But this song, especially Lisa’s singing, not only that she did so well, but her emotions in this song seemed so real. She actually has a great singing voice. Anyway, be happy. Life’s short. It’s really just a song. Don’t let it sours your mood. My meditation teacher always tell us to be optimistic and cheerful. Becos our state of mind does have an affect on the world, not just us.

I got bored today so I was going back through some reaction videos for The Happiest Girl. It did not occur to me months ago but it hit me now; WHAT IF this is NOT a break-up song? The relationship they talk about is toxic as hell, no doubt, but what if they are singing from the perspective of somebody who is STUCK in that relationship and can't get out, for whatever reason? What if it is real love but it is still a toxic environment (one or both people don't know what a good relationship looks like)? What if the person thinks they will never do any better than the toxic ass they are with, so the choice to leave just is not there yet? And the worst thought of all: what if the person singing or thinking the lyrics is a kid who is still under-age and treated like shit by their parents, but they are still expected to act like everything is fine whenever they are in public? As a kid, they do not have any choice at all in anything when stuck under control-freak parents (one or both). As soon as that thought hit me, the song messed me up in all kinds of ways! Me and my siblings were forced to lived like that for a time when we were were kids (step-parent was one of the worst cases of narcissism I can remember ever having run across). We had it rough for a number of years. This song hit me ten times harder than before, listening to it with that thought in my head! I did not cry when I first heard this AMAZING song but with this new way to look at it, I feel all that pent-up frustration from my childhood all over again! I cried this time! Shit gets COMPLICATED if the parties are still together in that toxic mess... GODDAMN!
