I would have chosen Tom because of his inner beauty over Carter because he could be just as bad as his wife. I would have won Tom's heart because of the inner beauty in me. I would have an amazing relationship with him because he was a humble man who didn't think he was better than others because poverty, disability and people on the street. To be rejected and then still want her and her crappy attitude would make him the biggest loser ever. He moved on and became the man he was going to be with or without her. How can people say if she would have been with him from the beginning it was her encouragement that would have made him successful when she was obviously a very shallow materialistic person and people want to say she was his inspiration? That's silly. And the opposite is equally true, to say her telling him he's a big fn loser and she'd never ever be with him that he is so pathetic that he was frothing at the mouth and worked like a dog and became successful with never tracking her to know she was even married but he was wishing, hoping like a moron, for one more chance at the shallow narcissist that she is. She missed out on love is what happened and he remained available for some one that might actually love him for who he is instead of what she could get out of him. He was got lucky to be rejected.

The man was humble and totally the opposite of his uppity and down-right rude girlfriend even after becoming a multi millionaire. He was a winner being the opposite of her being kind to people down on their luck like kindly buying a homeless person a meal because he never thought he was better than anyone else. That girl lost out on a very nice person plus a wonderful life. I would have gave him a chance because he had a beautiful heart inside. It's sad that man couldn't get past the hurt that she caused him which left him with a broken heart. That man stayed single because of that one hurtful remark. Hopefully she used that as a learning experience and chose to learn from it. She owes him an apology for her unkind behaviour toward him.

I could have had it way better if I stuck with him I f**ked up and will have to live with this regret for the rest of my life!" then burst into tears it serves her well gold digging greedy bitch!

The saying that "Be careful how you treat people on your way up, you could meet the same people on your way down" comes into play here. It's a good thing he didn't end up with her, she would have spent everything with her lifestyle. Also shows that money doesn't buy sophistication and class. However, it is sad that he never went after love after being so traumatized by what she had done to him, even though she lived to regret it. You should never let someone who humiliated you in your pursuit of love put you off from finding the right person.

I was lucky that my wife, of 11 years now, met me when I was between jobs. She saw who I was and money was not an issue. We still find every excuse to be as close as possible. We jokingly call ourselves otters (how they fall asleep holding each other). I couldn't imagine how different life would have been if all she saw was an unemployed man and nothing more.

I would have loved to be with a man like the man who was poor and offer so much encourage to better him. I would have showed him the riches people get while being poor. 1. It teaches compassion for others. 2. Learning to get the most for money and how to comparison shopping. 4. Being giving and have a humble heart. The man would have won my heart because he had the inner beauty and outside too. I would never give that woman the time of day because I know people like that are not nice to be around. I know she must have very low self esteem to treat her boyfriend so badly. She wasn't born with prejudice toward the poor and looking at materialistic things. This woman obviously learned this behaviour from rich parents and friends. I feel sorry for her. He stayed single because he was so badly hurt by the woman.

One woman who I courted used me, and she married a so called self made millionaire. Four months after they got married, her husband was sentenced to prison for 6 years for grand larceny in the first degree. Moreover, she had to wait for her husband to finish his 6 year prison term to annul the marriage. Karma bit her in the butt.

Just the things she said, "You don't make enough. I could never love you. I spend more in a day than you make in a month" is more red flags than a Chinese parade. If a woman is not willing to stick by a man's side while he strives to work towards success, then she doesn't deserve one red cent of what he earned while working towards his success. And for any women like the one in this story that may be reading this, there's a saying I once heard: "Those who hurt others hurt themselves."

True. It's an obvious urban myth. People are losing the skill to question what they read or see. It explains the wretched state of the popular arts and entertainment these days - people don't want something uncomfortable or thought-provoking... They just want a nice sweet moral lesson presented in syrup, clap their hands and move on to the next fake product or story.

Now imagine if Rachel confessed to Carter that she was that woman that humiliated him. Don't know how he'd react, but if I were him, I'd talk to Tom the next day, apologizing for her. I might add, "I'm flattered you were in love with Rachel, but given how you'd responded to her humiliating you - I'll say she's not good enough for you, so alas, she's stuck with me instead. But I believe you can find love."

Don't ever insult or look down on those who are dressed like poor people they may surprise you just how rich they really are. I knew a man once who dressed in overalls and drove a crappy car but as it turns out he was a millionaire. He owned tons of land and even a soda bottle company . So the lesson here is to never judge anyone ever.

This is an even more overtly “here is the moral” yet less hilarious version of an Indian story. Basically the girl rejects the guy cause he is poor, and years later she with her husband invites her husbands boss and his family over to dinner in order to leave a good impression. The boss turns out to be the guy she rejected, and for the next few hours she has to play the role of the supportive wife trying to impress the guy she rejected (and his wife) so that her husband can advance in career. She panders and does all the things expected of her in her position while it just kills her on the inside and he (the reject) just plays it up to the max fully enjoying the “how we meet” conversation and the whole 9. The, during the dinner.. the reject’s wife senses something is up and starts being a total passive aggressive b* to the woman who rejected her husband, meanwhile the main woman has to just endure and the former reject is just hilariously trying to stay cool along with the confused husband. It’s one of the best comedies ever.
