Really liked this one but the sequel, A Ritual of Flesh is so f****** good. He steps up his game in every aspect and the characters really shine. ARoB is almost a long prologue. ARoF is where shit hit the fan and it is sooooo good.

Agree. One of the best. While I am about 50% on liking what he likes, that does not mean his assessments are not excellent. But I think he will be in the 10's of thousands before long.

I just read this last week. Highly enjoyable, stoked to read the second book! *Did you notice the word use of "floor" instead of "ground" or "earth"? That kept pulling me out of suspension... But I'm a picky bitch! Prost!

I read through the first 3 books in a row of The Saga of the Forgotten Warrior earlier this year from Larry Correia and was extremely impressed. I wouldn't call them grim dark but there is a lot of fighting and violence and mature topics like child slavery and executions without trials. I never see people review them but feel like they could be popular if more people knew.
