Like all fans of the franchise, I can’t wait for the release of S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl later this year. And also like all fans of the franchise, I was delighted then they stealth released the previous S.T.A.L.K.E.R. games on console, including Call of Pripyat, the one title I never got around the completing back in 2007/8 (it didn’t run very well on my old-world PC). Naturally, it also inspired me to make an ASMR video, so here’s my rendition of a friendly Stalker welcoming you, patching you up, and selling you a few Zone must-haves.
I can only imagine the strength, determination, and sheer passion that @GSCGameWorldOfficial must have - like all of Ukraine - to achieve their ambitions in spite of what is happening. It's inspiring that they will be able to release a game to be enjoyed by old and new fans the world over. 🎙 What is ASMR? 🎧
ASMR (autonomous sensory meridian response) is synaesthesia of the soul. It’s a relaxing feeling, it’s a tingling down the spine, or it’s simply a sleep aid. Whether it’s being ‘held’ by someone you have confidence in, or ‘looked after’ by someone with authority, or just feeling ‘safe’ with someone you trust, it uses audio-visual triggers to enable you to let go of your worries and stresses - even just for a bit.
📽 What is FPC? 🎞
FPC (first person cinema) takes all the relaxing elements of ASMR but has much more of a focus on immersion and the suspension of disbelief. It’s kinda like being the main character in your own short movie, with popular figures you know and love, or entirely created worlds - just for you. There won’t be any visible mics or traditional triggers in these videos, and they will seem more unintentional than the usual ASMR videos - but they are unique and relaxing experiences designed to transport you to different places, worlds, and times.
