My seal mitted with a blaze Ragdoll cat, Charlie, has extreme reactions to being bitten by fleas and is also a flea magnet. However, he got a head tremor from me using topical flea medications, so I had to go all natural - which can make flea control and flea prevention very challenging. I have tried many, many things. I have tried amber collars on my cats because I read how powerful baltic amber is with fleas. But my cats aren't used to wearing collars, so they scratched at them, and the amber beds pulled at their long, fine hair. I have also put amethyst in my cat's water dish because, again, I have read how the energy of amethyst can help change the cat's energetics and make it less attractive. So, when I stumbled upon this powder while researching another product, I thought it was worth a shot. When you are fighting fleas naturally, it is a trifecta - you treat the yard, the cat, and the house to prevent those buggers from causing havoc. And with Charlie, they most certainly do. I really hope this stuff does the trick to make him unattractive to fleas.

it sounds to me as if the effect of the product would work in much the same way as sprinkling diatomaceous earth around the perimeter of windows & doors, foundation etc. Our YARD was infested when we bought the house & they were getting in through the french doors! The D.E. puts microscopic abrasions in the carapace of the fleas, etc. and they die of dehydration. We dusted the steps and doorway as well as along the walls & any cracks. Vacuumed & put out "traps" ... within short order there were no more of any bugs in the traps. Flea free for many years. Also feel I should note: you can get fleas in your home even if you do not have pets!!! Our sweet 13 y.o.boy passed 4 years ago as of the 29th of Feb. '04.. He was indoor only, we never have visits from other animals in our home. So the only way we could've gotten fleas we figured was from the back doors! We've since removed them and treated the yard. So far no more problems! We hope to be able to adopt again soon! 🥰

Don't think so. DE cuts and scrapes insects with exoskeletons, like fleas, roaches, etc. Takes time, but they dry up from it and die. Whereas this powder would create an energetic field that would repel fleas. I do not think DE has an energetic field. Putting DE around your home isn't a bad idea to keep those bastards out though - ha ha!

Hi I am on the same journey lol! I have 6 cats and 2 are kinda feral they love me but I can’t touch them. Anyways something that has worked for me but the cats don’t love is coconut oil lemon grass and lavender and the fleas crawl off the cats and won’t come back on for a few days which isn’t the most convenient. But I use lemon grass all over the house and I never have seen a flea in the house the cats get brushed daily and they will have 1 or 2 a day on them fyi they are indoor/outdoor cats. As you probably realize all cats are different so different things work for different cats

Are your cats short haired? The coconut oil is great - but not on long haired cats. Do you use lemon grass essential oil?

Amethyst and Amber hmm interesting. I wonder if the stones were put on the outside of a soft collar if that would be better tho I don’t know. I wonder if you surround your house with these crystals if that will work 😆

I am happy using this powder - I love the idea of it - makes so much sense to me after everything I have read and learned about natural flea control. I actually keep amtheyst stones in their drinking water because I read that can help "energize" their water and help prevent fleas - some people ONLY do that to keep fleas away. A reader wrote me a few days ago about a homeopathic remedy he has been using for years that works. So I might try that. Homeopathy isn't very big in the USA, but I know it is in the UK and other parts of Europe, Canada, etc. So that might be an added tool in our arsenal.

What do I do if a cat has a reaction. I have seniors with kidney problems. I also have younger cats who don't like the revolution or other topicals. I didn't like how DE affected my cats it dried their skin and made them miserable. It was okay on the rugs and I put it on pads under bedding. I keep beds and house cleaned weekly as well. I vacuum almost daily.

Do your cats go outside? I highly doubt your cats will have a reaction to this. Both of my cats are seniors - and have some kidney markers. Both of mine are ultra sensitive and never noticed thing when I put this on them. I have no idea if it will work - and I have mine on garlic pills too for fleas. I also treat my yard and try to vacuum often.

All my cats are house cats only, but I have rescued and helped many cats over the years. Sadly I moved to an apartment a few years ago. During covid too many neighbors had dogs. The property had fleas and management did nothing. I think I carried fleas inside without knowing it was possible. I saw one neighbor on my camera brushing his legs off on my porch before leaving me a note asking for help with fleas for his outside cat. It was a nightmare to clean up. But I am still worried every year. My oldest is nineteen years old. Her brother died last year from kidney failure. Maine coon mixes. I've lost two cats recently to blood clots. Sheba was 17 she was on hormone therapy for hyperthyroidism and doing great. Smoky was only 14 my ragdoll rescue. He was my very 💜 I was taken by surprise with his blood clot and had to rush to the ER. The veterinarian said my flea treatments had nothing to do with blood clots but I will never really know if the flea treatment hurt them. I fear using the topical flea products now. All my cats have been inside for years and we never had fleas. So I had no experience to draw from. I'm trying to be very careful with the rest of my kits. They are my family and I love them too much. Thank you for all your videos and hard work to make life better for cats. 💕 I've followed you for a few years.

Definitely not - do you know what an amethyst is? What about amber? It's just those stones crushed up into a powder.

@@Floppycats I have real amethyst stone and I like natural stones to make jewelry with. I just don't know what a powder might do. I have dry skin and react to certain lotion and cream products.

Well, there's no way for me to know how your cats will react to this product. I think you can buy it and find out. I'd be shocked if they reacted, especially if they are fine with stones listed in the product. It's literally crushed up stone dust from the stones listed on the listing.@@dm5341

Yes, I have tried DE - it's on my carpets right now under furniture, so I don't have to vacuum underneath it. This stuff should create an entergetic field that the fleas don't like. Whereas, DE doesn't create that - DE only cuts them up when fleas are already on them. It's also super drying. One of mine ends up getting an ear infection from it, it's weird. I do like it for my carpets, but I no longer like to put it on them. I will in desperation, but not as a routine, like I will with this crystal powder.
