I wish I knew this when I got my cat neutered. His surgery was more invasive since one of his testicles was still in his abdomen so he had a huge incision. I felt so bad that he went through that. He would have healed so much faster and had less pain. At least I know now. Thank you for the info.

Easter Sunday afternoon, my sister saw Addie licking incessantly near her rear end, so she went to check her and found an oozing wound. So, off to the emergency vet, she went. The urgent care vet suspected the wound came from Ash (my sister's other cat). Perhaps they had a fight or something, and Addie was trying to get away. We really don't know. Other than that, there is no concern because they get along well otherwise. On Monday morning, I contacted our awesome regular vet, Dr. Sally Barchman, of State Line Animal Hospital, to ask what she thought of using ozonated saline and red/blue light therapy for wound care at home on Addie. She said it would be a great idea. Here’s what we did: 3x a day, my sister or I used the Photonic Health Multi-Light. 20 seconds for blue light and then 20-30 seconds for red light. 🔴 Red Light: red light helps reduce inflammation, alleviate pain, and promote relaxation. It's perfect for pets in need of relief from discomfort. 🔵 Blue Light: Blue light eradicates bacteria, effectively killing up to 98% of MRSA in just one session. It's a powerful ally against infections and skin issues. I also used ozonated saline ( • Ozonated Saline for Cats: How to Syri... ) on it on Monday and Tuesday nights. Once our regular vet said the infection was gone (I kept in touch with her by sending photos and questions) and the scabbing started, we stopped using the ozonated saline. The Photonic Health Multi-Light is a game changer for wound care. Addie is on antibiotics for the infection. Her blood levels were good, except for the infection markers, which were high. You can read and learn more about it here: bit.ly/3oIJlE0 #affiliate use Photonic Health Discount Code FLOPPYCATS to receive $25 off. $25 off coupon code valid on orders of $200 or more. You can learn more about red light therapy for pets here: bit.ly/3BiYUWz I understand this might be overwhelming, so sometimes it is just easier to phone in. That way, you can ask their amazing customer service if what is ailing your kitty might be helped with light therapy. I just got one for free. Yes living room. UNBELIEVABLY messy to clean. It cleans great and leaves your house refresh but it's a disgusting nightmare to have to clean this unit after use. It's definitely not practical but free that's worth it for some applications. Certainly don't want to have to clean out this whole unit and wait for the dry every single time I go to vacuum.

The mixture is 50/50 (equal parts) salt and baking powder. You would also have to treat the animals themselves with flea treatments as if you fail to do so, they will simply leave and infest the carpets all over. Garlic is toxic for animals if you over dose your animals. 1 gram of garlic is all you need for your pets (cats or dogs). If you can get garlic drops 2 drops per day for 5 days on 2 days off, do not exceed 3 weeks of use with a 30 day rest period between ea 3 weeks. Vinegar in a spray bottle can be applied to animal coats to repel fleas as a 2nd precaution method.

I’ve been using diatomaceous earth for over 10 years on both my dog and 2 cats, along with my entire house. All those have since died from old age. I leave it on the carpet for 3-5 days then vacuum for several days in a row. I also will use baking soda on the carpets. By the way, bedbugs, cockroaches and even ticks or any other pests with an exoskeleton will die from it. It is not harmful to pets or people but there’s a chance of pneumonia or lung irritation, so if you have a cone of shame from the vets or Amazon, use that. My animals would’ve freaked out with a bag over their heads. My cat goes out only in the screened porch and the fleas have found her! So I sprinkle it on the back porch and in the yard closest to the porch.
@Floppycats
@Floppycats 8 күн бұрын
thank you for sharing. a cone of shame is a great idea. i stopped using DE on mine - might use it again if we got an infestation, but one of them gets a overgrowth problem in his ear when he ingests it. it's weird. i do prefer baking soda and salt mixed for my carpets - kzfaq.info/get/bejne/sJaCgK6grr2qZpc.html. i do have DE under all my furniture right now, so i don't have to move my furniture and vacuum under it this summer =)

Ha ha - need to burrito wrap! Tips that might help: 1. Burrito wrap your cat in a towel - my sister shows how she wraps her cats here: kzfaq.info/get/bejne/l9yZZcZputm8hKc.html - you just wouldn't want to have your kitty's paws sticking out. And watch a veterinarian give an eye drop here: kzfaq.info/get/bejne/bpagrdV606ivmmw.htmlsi=aca2lKEQAISa3LWA 2. Have confidence - Go in with confidence that you're going to get it done. Don't hold your breath and be in control, but be calm. Cats sense everything - so go in with confidence. 3. Come in sideways - Approach your cat's eyes with the dropper from the side instead of in front of them
