Күн бұрынThe road to Emmaus is the gap between crushed expectations and deep longing. In Luke 24, we find two men walking this very road, and they find a stranger walking with them-or so they think. A stranger who listens to their pain and walks alongside them in their grief.
Just when they thought it was over, the resurrected Christ was in their very midst. Easter means that nothing is impossible with God. Even in the most dire of circumstances, Jesus shows up. Suffering does not have the last word.

Once again Ian digs out truths Ive read but never thought of...the two men...his heart is what makes Ian special...HE CARES...and so does the team at The Bridge,,,I got a special email return from Pam that blessed me...she didnt have to share so much with me but she took the time...im just one guy from CA and she took the time...says A LOT about The Bridge

Responding to the Easter sermon (i taught and missed this): Yes, we need to listen like Jesus did/does. Be quick to listen to someone's pain vs throwing a bunch of scriptures to the problem. Or there's always the talk about healing. What's forgotten is is God's will. I have grown spiritually THRU this 33 + years of pain. God hasn't healed me but He's grown me (rom 5:3-5; James 1:2-3)! God will heal me in His timing.
