I completely understand what he’s saying; I haven’t walked away from my calling because I know it’s from God and i absolutely love what I do; but i absolutely have had moments where I’ve questioned and wanted to walk away. But riding out the storms with God is something I absolutely do not regret! Obedience is best, whether that’s marriage, business, parenting, or whatever God calls you to❤️

God has a beautiful way of reminding us that marriage still exist. When we submit truly to his plan, we cannot live by the flesh. Fleshly living will have us thinking that marriage is impossible that all men are horrible. When it’s clear, they still exist. We have to believe it we have to claim it, and we have to allow God to make it a part of our calling when the time comes, but until then submit to God’s plan, and do the inner work ❤️

Marriage is not about self serving interests; marriage is about serving God and your spouse to give God All the Glory through your marriage. Godly marriage is a self sacrificing covenant of serving & helping your spouse pursue God & become their most Christ like self, while worldly marriage is a self serving contract of serving one's ego at the very expense of their spouse's soul!

For a long time I have felt that the film, music & media have skewed what marriage is. Even the church and politics has contributed to this. Having the emotional intelligence to distinguish if someone is going to be a good fit with you or not. If you can make a life with that person, how you're going to approach your difficulties as well as your pleasures; that's what makes a marriage. Not the finding your fairy tale Prince, not the build up to the big day, how many people attend, how much you spend in the party - thats irrelevant. If you want happily ever after you need to be clear and realistic

@mypointofview1111 Right on! Most people dream of the white dress and the big show for their weddings whereas real marriage starts after the big show, it's a lifetime of dedication and commitment. Unfortunately, many will focus more on the show itself than the commitment. As if they're using marriage to go back to their old ways:"I tried it, not for me (oh, and crossing it off my bucket list).

Exactly this! My husband and I were just discussing this last week. You have to have a servant's heart and spirit to be a good spouse/parent. Many people are too selfish as he stated. It also requires an above average degree of maturity.

I know we're talking about marriage, but this is EXACTLY how I feel about the medical field, flaws and all. I nearly walked away from it and I was CALLED to come back to it. It's just something within you that you just know you can't break away from. Its just in your destiny. 🙏🏾

This is DEEP, folks! My heart had been HEAVY due to coming from parents who seemed NOT to take their marriage as a CALLING but as a chore that adults do. My mom even told me we all have to just try it out and see if marriage works or not. I totally agree and I just went ahead with a marriage based on NOTHING. He just said let's get married so that he could process his papers through my British citizenship and I agreed as we had been living together. No discussion of godly vision or life values. Gosh. Never again for my generation as we had a babygirl. I break out of marital abnormalities in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, amen! 🙏🏿

He has always made it clear why marriage is important. 1 Corinthians 7:9 But if they cannot control themselves, they should marry, for it is better to marry than to burn with passion. So many of ya are connected to the devil. Though you think you are not. Its called manipulation. You can be spiritual. You can be religious. You can be an atheist. You can be a sourcery worker. And you all will be connected to the devil. How? Through sin. As long as you are against the most high God and Jesus. You will never prosper. You will never have marraige. You will never have peace. I think sometimes we can make things overly deep.Humans are created for companionship,and that is simply why people just want to be with people for that need of companionship and connection. There are people more healthier and have had healthier conditioning and that makes it easier for them to navigate relationship. The calling for marriage is a desire to be a healthy companion to your partner and the choice to commit to one person. Things are not always only spiritual but also have a very human and psychological component to them.
