Something else worth a mention: While I know this comic takes place in the Classic era, I felt its tone would be suitable for TheMajinV's debut as IDW Knuckles on the channel, demonstrating varied emotions and serving as a new introduction. Classic Knuckles in our other dubs will remain voiced by TrevZed - which is funny, because it sounds like a younger version of IDW Knuckles' new voice!

Come to think of it, if Knuckles is the last of the echidnas, it could be really interesting to see an arc revolving around Knuckles finding and training a successor at some point. Knuckles is a tough guy but eventually he would need an apprentice to take over guardianship of the Master Emerald once he gets old. And it could be funny to see Knuckles acting as a strict mentor character.

Honestly, considering Knuckles’ job and how much time he would have to just spend silently alone thinking to himself. It’s really fascinating getting to peek into that mindset here, kind of like the Sonic Frontiers Prologue.

Leave it to the comics to make you actually feel care and emotion both for and with the characters we have grown to know and love. And with what Frontiers and The Murder of Sonic the Hedgehog had given us as of late, we may truly be headed for a grand, new age.

Knuckles has always been my favorite character! He's not a meathead like some may think, even how he thinks of himself. He is smart. He's just made mistakes in trusting the wrong information. Who hasn't? Anyway, great stuff!

At first, I was about to pass ahead on this because I thought it was just another Archie Comic. But then, it got interesting. This feels like something Knuckles would actually have said. He does feel like that sometimes he doesn't get why he must protect the emerald, but he does it anyway. Him meeting Sonic is what got him to open up and start to be who he is becoming now. And best of all? This comic is completely original! Thank you for this amazing dub about Knuckles, he's definitely a very interesting and great character for the Sonic franchise

This is why I don’t have a problem with Knuckles leaving the Master Emerald in Heroes. His SA2 lyrics indicate that something like this comic happened in his mind. After SA2, he decided to go out more and help out Sonic and Tails when they need it, like when Eggman is going to destroy the world in 3 days

Knuckles should just let Rouge be a part-time guardian. She knows how much damage moving the Master Emerald causes, so I think she would just be happy being allowed to see it every once in a while.

The Chaos Emeralds act separate from the Master Emerald and Frontiers basically confirmed there isn't any connection between them other than that the Master Emerald controls the Chaos Energy.
