What is the reason to analyse a line which nobody plays? Taking d4 with a knight, seriously?

For a serious player, it's a reasonable move to consider.

@@guyza123 open the database and find out how many serious players do that

0.1 percent of players played it in the past, which doesn't dictate the future. If you want to get shocked in the future go ahead. Nothing wrong with the move according to stockfish.

@@guyza123 when you study fundamentals of chess you never get shocked. When you study dubious lines you get shocked every game.

Database isn’t always the best option, especially if a really good player knows your favorite opening they’re gonna look at which is the most common moves due to a database.
