Seoul's infrastructure and emphasis on recreation for its citizens seriously looks second to none. When i look at the city i live in, i see so much wasted potential. it's really interesting to see how much of a difference rain can make! since it's been raining so much in korea, the grass over there is bright green but bc its been so hot and dry here in germany for the past few weeks, the grass is practically hay and the leaves from bushes in our backyard are already turning yellow lol also the clock at 12:20 hahah how funny 😂 edit: oh and also congrats on reaching 200k subs!! 🎉

this video had me close to tears! i visited sky park last oct due to your recommendation i can honestly say it was one of my fave memories- I've travelled to many places around the world but there sparked something inside of me for some reason. i want to thank you so much for your videos in Seoul due to corona i cant move like i hoped yet for study to seoul and I've been stuck inside most the time in London for 6 months - and i hate to use popular terms but your vlogs have been giving me life! i honestly feel most days like I'm a shell, my passion is so drained and feel like i don't know how to get back up once we are able to return to life here in London - watching your videos makes me feel alive and excited for - i know seoul well so i know the feeling when i watch your videos! anyway I'm not great with words i just really wanted to thank you and for bringing me joy during these hard times!

10:01 those arrows should be used everywhere! I usually have a really good sense of direction, but this one time I got lost in an underground maze in Stuttgart (didn't help they were doing construction work) and this would have definitely helped A LOT!

i'm so glad you mentioned the book by han kang you're reading! i'm not a huge reader myself, but han kang's the white book left such a lasting impression on me that i still go back and reread it all the time :) if you haven't read it yet, i very much recommend it. it's one of the most beautiful books i've ever read, even if it seems very simple at first

This has to be the slickest cari cakes vlog so far. The sunlit intro, the way the green POPS, the LBD you wore, the matching designer face mask -- cari cakes goes glam! My favorite 100 seconds WAS the "I'll Never Die" (Daniel Gunnarson) sequence in your "Solo Trip to Tokyo" vlog. But you've OUTDONE yourself with the "wumpus" (Boyish) segment at 11:20. You showcase Seoul like no other. The day-in-the-life and foodie denoument is perfect. Now I can't wait for the Busan video!! Since you've started creative writing seriously and taking lessons, is that bleeding into your editing? The narrative feels stronger and more contemplative here. I really loved the music included in this vlog!! Idk it seemed different to me, but I really liked it! And not to be dramatic and unnecessary but when you were talking about the bugs and showing them on camera I got literal chills and had to keep myself from getting sick. It's not even something I can control and I wonder if Kurt's hate for bugs is as extreme as mine. Anyway, I also loved the painting you did, it reminded me of a cute postcard. Your videos are always such a highlight to my day! They‘re gorgeous, the music is always perfect (i could listen to a playlist of your video music all day long!) and everything is just so aesthetically pleasing. When I’m watching your videos I always sit down with a coffee and a snack, it’s such a calming part of my day! Thanks for your wonderful videos Cari! All the best from Germany (we’re dying here as well due to the heat, because Germany isn’t made for heat so houses usually have no air con since our houses are made to keep the heat in for our colder months, ugh)

oh my... 200k, when did this happen? congratulations! :) I reaaaaallly would love to go check out the sky park. Geez... can't wait to come over again. Your face-mask is really cute btw. I love the fact that it's one of those reusable ones where you can change the filters. Sooo convenient!
