i don't know if this was purposeful, but the difference between camera qualities (phone camera, camera, drone footage) really made this video exactly what i wanted it to be. it wasn't all high resolution footage, it was honest, sometimes shakey, in and out of focus. the high quality drone footage of landscapes almost made it easier to see how beautiful and majestic the nature was. really humanized the video in a way. beautiful work

This is how I want my relationship to be like- I am so comfortable with someone I can say whatever deep stuff is on my mind without being scared they think it’s too random, and I can ask open ended questions about their past, future, dreams, and thoughts about life. No more surface level conversations. One of my favorite things which I wish I could do more often is getting to know a new person, sharing our life stories and see what connects, what relates even though we’re two strangers. Love this, it was beautiful, the editing was admirable, thank you for this feel-good video. Hope to see Isobel again

What a beautiful film. Better than most romances! Watching it, there was no way you both wouldn't get together. The way you filmed her, the way she looked at you and the pauses where you would both laugh and not say what you were truly feeling. How beautiful that you shared this moment together.

I love how this is an incredibly genuine film about going on a journey, falling in love, and finding oneself in the process. My main takeaway from this film was just how powerful simple moments can have on you and others, such as when you had filmed Isobel eating Pringles...this is something that most of us would never think of capturing, but you had. Instead of just showing a stereotypical love tale, you showed small and personal moments that help define your journey. It's hard making films, and incredibly hard captivating an audience and guide them through a journey, to the point where it feels like we're standing over your shoulder in some moments. Great job, and I hope you continue to inspire the next generation of creators.

The fact that I was able to watch this entire video in normal speed right to the end without pausing is a testament to how good it was (and how shitty my attention span is) but wow, incredible! I recently came back home after travelling for a year and this brought back a lot of memories, a lot of nostalgia. I’m remembering the people I bumped into and the deep albeit short lived connections we formed. I’m thankful for every single one of them and the impact they had on me. Thank you for this video, hope you’re good :)

This reminds me of my parents history. When my mum was moving 10h away when she was your age, she needed someone to take her and her stuff in a bigger car. My dad who she had only met a few times but was friends with her friends offered to drive her the whole way! 20 years later, they’re happily married with two children, a cat and a dog.

Wow. What a beautiful story. This whole series was so spontaneous and nostalgic as it was happening I’m just left with this unfamiliar feeling in my stomach. The rawness and authenticity of this film was absolutely amazing I seriously have never seen anything like this before, it felt like I was watching a movie of your lives and I’ve never realized just how much happens outside of my little bubble of this world until now and it’s so insane to think about. Max, your creativity and authenticity is so inspiring and captivating you are such an interesting person and I wish you the best of luck in this journey we are all experiencing called life. Cheers :)

This is beautiful. You are a brilliant writer and narrator. This is finally “content” I relate to because it’s authentic, wholesome, and sacred. There are so many words to be said about slow living and appreciating life in of itself. There are even more feelings to be felt. We must each decide to take the time to experience these precious moments, and the greater choice, who to share them with.

Every part of this film really spoke to me. I kinda have my own version of a road-trip love story. From Virginia to Wyoming my girlfriend and I went to work in Yellowstone National Park this past summer and ended up realizing that we needed to break up. We had originally planned to go on a big road-trip afterwards since we both had never been out west. So for a month on the road we were broken up. Knowing that once we went back home we had to accept that the breakup was for the best and we couldn’t see each other anymore at the end. For the first week we decided to include this Polish couple that worked with me in YNP. Both parties decided to split ways on the 9th day. My ex and I continued the road-trip for the last 3 weeks and it was during the final week where there was the most emotion. Understanding each other in a whole new way, falling in love with a person all over again, but keeping your distance so it would hurt less in the end. Then of course you had to say the thing about the second last day being scarier than the final day. That second final night, when your just looking at the bright stars, listening to the crickets chirp, wind flowing through the trees, some of the final heartbeats you’ll hear from their chest. Idk. That second last day will be cherished in my heart vault forever. Being home has been challenging, especially since I had to basically start fresh with all this time on my hands. I’m in a different chapter of my life now. Seeing this video makes me have hope for a better tomorrow, kinda makes me believe in love again but I’m 100% NOT ready for that. 10 out of 10 would watch again! We also made a video but not as amazing as this one lol

Your art of telling the story made me forget every pessimism I felt until that very moment. In a long time not a single video I watched on this platform made it so worth watching it. This has got to be one of the most underrated, authentic, and well executed films I have ever watched on youtube, I wish you the best of luck. Sadly youtube doesn't have that many good creators out there.

This is real, a lot of influencers either send a message that is corrupted by their aesthetic and taken drastically out of proportion by their viewers but you happen to keep it real, raw and simple. I like that, keep it going Max. Feel Compassion and Live Your Passion.

Man this is absolutely beautiful. A reminder that I need to get out of my own head more often and push myself to explore and meet new people. I’ve been to a lot of these places in this video and you captured them all magnificently.

Seeing how this all unfolded, a shot in the dark - a chance to explore, and the ending to match, had me cheering for your entire experience in this video, Max. Love the content!

I love this little film. It’s amazing how much can be shown through a video. This story is so heartwarming. Living in the Pacific Northwest, with those bits of the video, made me see it in a different light. It makes me appreciate my home more, oddly enough. It’s so nice to just see something that makes your heart feel light.

This is probably the most beautiful video I have seen. I love how over the years, your form of content has changed and has been increasingly deep and meaningful, almost soul-touching. This entails the line, " The kind of slow love, we all dream to experience ". Keep up the great work Max!!

Max, It has been about 3 years and half since I found your channel. Watching this video at the same time I’m reaching my 18’s makes me be as more optimistic about the future as I was 3 years and half ago. Keep doin’ this in the way only you can 🍀

a true masterpiece you're story telling especially choice of words, music and the tiny effects makes it one of the best videos I watched so far. But the story telling is only the top of the iceberg under the water is a magical story.

here because i saw isobel's video. i'm going on a week long trip with a complete stranger in 7 days. this video gave me all the best feelings and made me realize that i shouldn't be scared or nervous, but excited. i'm also an introvert and the thought of sharing space with a stranger terrified me. thanks for this video. i am truly excited for what is to come. for all the things i will learn about myself and the other person.
