Besides Siri missing from this remote, the Home button is also absent (that's the button on the Siri remote that looks like a TV). Without the Home button I'm unable to pull up the control center on Apple TV which we use to switch accounts. What's the work around for this missing functionality?

No way to open Control Center? This is a no go especially with tvOS 14 when there are more functions like HomeKit cameras or user switching.

I have not seen my Apple TV remote for ages, always use iPhone remote, also allows use of keyboard input easy if required.

The siri remote is not that hard I've always used it and never had a problem with it

Finally!!! Available in the USA. Joni of Apple messed up the design of Apple TV remote. Very flimsy, dropped it once on my tile floor, way too thin to hold in my hnds, cracked on contact. No mute button? I don’t need Siri to listen to me. This is a must. SOLD!!! Thanks for the review

That looks like an awkward placement of the Menu button. It would be nice if it was where the mute button is. Otherwise, looks great!!

You know that you don’t have to swipe with the Siri remote right?? You can tap Up, Down, Left, Right just as if it had arrow buttons.

I know this is "old" for a video - but my issue with replacing the siri remote is the Apple TV Volume - example: HomePod, my universal remote works for everything but volume where Apple TV is controlling volume for airpods or homepod. I can't stand the siri remote, and we've always just watched through TV speakers but have really wanted to try HomePod(s). I'm getting old enough that all the new audio connections for soundbars, etc. just gets "too much" and no one will ask, "What have you got?", and say, "Ok - here's what you need." {sigh}

I received mine this week and highly recommend it. Aside from the missing Siri button, there are two other important function that are missing, and not mentioned in the video. This involves the HOME button. Yes, as mentioned you can hold the MENU button on this new remote, and it will function as clicking the HOME button on the Siri remote. However, the is no way to mimic a double click of the HOME which brings up App Switcher which is very useful. Also, there is no way to mimic holding the HOME button which on the Siri remote will take you to the Control Center where you can switch profiles/accounts, AND switch Audio to for example connect your AirPods. I am now using both remotes which kind of defeats the purpose of this in a way. My primary reason is for the skip forward and back dedicated buttons on the new remote which drives me crazy on the Siri remote (having to click top corner which doesn’t work half the time).

I use this remote daily and it‘s far better than the standard remote. But the funny thing is: you can‘t go into multitasking and close apps and the one app that always hangs or has errors is the SALT app itself. It is really a crappy app! I don‘t need Siri integration because it‘s very limited in Switzerland anyway...

I haven’t found a remote that can function as a Siri remote other than the Siri remote. I’m not about to give my LG remote any permissions, so... swipey swipey ugh.

Why would you wanna to buy $30 control when you can use Apple to reprogram any IR device which is in the Apple TV setting.

LIES!!! I never had any of those issues with the Siri remote & if buttons are a big deal could have gotten a Harmony® remote a long long long time ago. No one needs this!

It’s actually a big downside that it’s not rechargeable. I never have batteries on hand (plus one use batteries are hard to dispose of properly and are super bad for the environment if you don’t do it right). Otherwise, this seems like a very nice remote. Plus if you wanted Siri, you could just use your phone for that
