Do any of these remotes enable number entry on the Apple TV? Rather than scrolling thru the guide, I'd like to jump to a channel by inputting the channel number

Sevenhugs is a bit pricey but the fact that you can use it in place of all your remotes for tv, Apple TV and lighting is impressive. Rather than having 2-3 remotes around when viewing your favorite programs.

For the Harmony ultimate, can we configure the favorites channels of the Apple TV ? (I am a Salt TV fiber subscriber)

I have my issues with the remote control and one of them is making sure that I don't accidentally sit on it because they break easily. My son broke 2 remotes already and I'm seriously considering these alternatives.

Thanks for this. When I watch Apple TV, it takes 4 separate remotes. One to switch HDMI ports, the Apple remote, my sound bar remote and my cable remote(to turn TV on in the first place)

I don’t know if I’m the only one, but I actually love the Siri remote. It’s so elegant and functional. I have my in a silicone glow in the dark case but that’s only so I don’t loose it. I have never broken it but lost it many times 😂. I love the touch pad and its intuitive input and last forever on a charge. The only thing is that I turn the tv button to the home button since I got used to that setup when the Apple TV 4 first came out.

I actually like it but a little annoying at night when I have to make sure it's not upside down, although the Siri button feels different so that helps. I just wish it was a little bigger :)

I agree. But, when you have money and youre bored, you buy stuff you dont really need. And lets face it, new gadgets are fun lol

Are there any (even forthcoming) that will have the mic for voice control (outside of using the app on an iPhone)? Both my Tivo box and (obvs) ATV4K have voice.

Caavo has a voice remote, Harmony kind of does with Alexa and Google Assistant built in

If you don't need Siri, an alternative w/o any investment: Just learn your TV remote in the Apple TV interface. Pretty much all TV remotes these days sport the required controls (navigation up/down/left/right/ok, back button, playback buttons etc.).

Just in case users aren't aware, SevenHugs is shutting down all Smart Remote functionality and support in June 2022. Already programmed remotes will stay programmed, but you will not be able to edit or update any programming in June.

Just last week I gave my old harmony one plus remote to my parents, so that they can control their tv, Apple TV and Yamaha home theatre combination as easy as possible. They found the Apple TV remote too difficult to use, so they barely used the entire device. Was a pleasant surprise that such an old remote would still function and I could even find a ready made setup for the Apple TV.

Back of napkin math, I've spent six figures on Apple over the years. But NOT ONE MORE DOLLAR on anything made in China. I'm serious, and I know I'll pay more but I'm done with evil.
