Another fine unboxing. I'm just a bit jealous of how many 9.8's you have. I would like my comic room to be filled with 9.8's also. So far I have 5 😢, but the good news is that there are a few more potential candidates in my collection. Looking forward to see the unboxing of the 5 comics you just mentioned.

I had loose Larry on my first ASM 238 then I had harsh Harry on my second one. They got the same grade, and you can tell in 1 second which is the nicer one when you look at them. I’ve never cracked and re-subbed but I’m thinking about it!

Resend them without doing any work on them and do a 9.8 pre-screen. I've never done a pre-screen. I have wondered with 9.8 pre-screens if CGC is compromised by profits to push books up to 9.8.

I have learned my lesson not to send multiples of the same book. The grader will most likely compare and contrast.

Must do pre-screen if you think it can reach a 9.8. If not its a wasteof time and money imo

I think they have certain graders who are maybe a little too harsh. I also think sometimes they give customers the middle finger just for the hell of it, so they can really show you who is boss! I would resubmit because I trust you way more than CGC at this point 😂

The problem is cgc wants to control the census and everything is subjective

That wasn't subjective grading, it was purely objective. Before he even revealed the grades for the two #1's I knew they had 0% chance of a 9.8

If you sent them all in like that ya going be picky. What's 9.8 give 9.6 Not going give 9.8 . Need separate it .

They shouldn’t be - but with CGC it’s a gamble every single time. They aren’t they most ethical company.

I try not to play that game too much. Unless I genuinly think the grade deserved a 9.8, I don't resubmit.

I coined the phrase "spine peal" a few years ago but it hasn't taken yet. Spine peal is when you see on modern books sometimes at the cover fold/staples. It's either a full spine crease breaking color or little flakes peeling off on the cover fold. Accurate Andy is a good one! 🎉

Thanks for that! And I like the spine peel thing, I may "steal" that one as well. It's something I've "fixed" on a few books by adding some moisture and flattening it down with the iron

how can so many ppl be loyal to a company whose entire premise ... entire business model ... is based on consistency ... but they are anything but consistent ... the things ppl justify for cgc is ridiculous ... but as long as return is better comic community will continue to do so ... terrible cycle
