THERE WAS THIS WEIRD PLASTIC THING THEY WERE SUPPOSED TO GO IN BUT I THOUGHT I WOULDN'T NEED IT SO I TRIED TO JUST SHOVE THEM BACK IN BUT THEY WERE TRIANGLE-SHAPED SO THEY FELL AGAINST ONE ANOTHER listen it was a whole ordeal 😭🤚

I was really hoping you'd include Michaels' house brand of crayons Creatology in this, they're also pretty budget-friendly. Also, Caran d'Ache has a pretty decent set of high end wax "pastels" which actually function the same way as crayons do and the labelling just wanted to make them sound more fancy than they are.

ooo interesting!! unfortunately i don't think i'll be using oil pastels any time soon... 😅 when working with traditional media, i've actually started to favor watercolor! i used to use chalk pastels a lot, though, which is why i was curious about oil pastels. i'll take a look at the Creatology crayons!! maybe i can add them to my collection 🕵‍♀

fun thing about washable crayons, if you go over them with a brush and a bit of water you can use them in the same way you would use watercolor pencils

I loved coloring with crayons as a kid, but unfortunately broke many of them because I held them differently then most kids. Most people write/ color with the thumb, index and middle finger. I hold my writing utensils on my right hand with all fingers except the pinky, so 4 fingers. But I hold them normally on my left hand.

Proves that not all crayons are made the same. Some feel like they're just colored props, even the older Crayola carnation pinks that are faded & useless, & the "metallic browns" that turn a hard green.

I never liked the liquimark crayons. The scholastic crayons are made by Dixon Ticonderoga, the makers of PRANG. Also the Wonder Stix made a great substitute for oil pastels.
