I'm a teacher, so I can add some context from the science of teaching reading. When learning letters, consonants are easier than vowels because vowels make too many sounds. When learning to write letters, you usually group them by the type of strokes used, so M uses straight strokes, which is the easiest. Rhyming is also an important skill before learning to read. This is called phonological awareness, the awareness of the sounds of speech and how changing sounds changes the words. The better your phonological awareness, the easier it is to translate that to reading.

The "violin clef" is actually a viola (the only frickin instrument to use it) clef! It's called alto clef, and middle c is the middle line, where b would be in treble.
