Two beautiful inspiring gardens - Yeo Valley Garden and Tom Massey's front garden. I love the idea of slow gardens - gardens that evolve and take care of thorny challenges such as pests without intervention. Organic is the way to go. Tom, you did a great job implementing a version of your planned Chelsea show garden in your front garden. Also, it's great that you gave away the thousands of plants intended for Chelsea to hospitals. I am sure that your plants brought many smiles to many deserving people. Fabulous garden in Yeo Valley I love the whole ethos. I never use pesticides and our garden teams with insects. Went out yesterday and the annoying greenfly I had been rubbing off with my fingers was providing main course for some ants. Today my Rose's are almost pest free. Result. But agree about the slugs. I throw them into the field ( they have such cute faces I can't bear to leave them on the bird table)
