Now this is a tiny house cabin I could live in! Welcome to "Just Down The Road", a collection of cosy, scandi-like cabins in the historic former tin mining town of Branxholm, north east Tasmania.
This one bedroom cabin is a fantastic example that living in a small or tiny cabin doesn't mean missing out! Space saving features such as the european style laundry and outdoor bath, combined with generally good design, allow the small footprint cabin to feel a lot bigger than it actually is.
A fantastic cabin experience and worth a. visit if your in the area and are considering a small cabin/home build.
The cabin is located just down the road (see what they did there?), from Derby, Tasmania's world leading down hill mountain biking mecca. The property has been cleverly designed to cater well for those seeking adventure and action on the trails, as well as nature and romance lovers.
Outside of your cosy cabin is a communal space featuring a fire pit, BBQ and barrel sauna, with this area being a great way to connect with other travellers and enthusiasts, but don't forget you've always got your own luxury outdoor bath on the private back patio, with lovely views across the hop farm the property borders.
If there is one place that you absolutely must check out when you stay at Just Down The Road, it's a visit to Mount Paris Dam. BREATHTAKING! Watch the video, google it, map it and go there! :)

Ben. Another absolute cracking place to stay. Highlights so much that Tasmania has to offer. The Mountain bike trails just add to the unique character of the place. What a place for a few friends with their mountain bikes to spend a week . The interior design is spot on. The use of timber and the layout is spot on. Thanks to your host as always for letting us all see 'Just Down the Road'. This place will be one you never forget and you would take home a bucket load of good memories. Thank you Keith. I appreciate you taking the time to watch and review. Yes, the property is Grant her people just seeking time alone, but also groups as well and really is a very versatile Property! I didn’t get time to do the downhill mountain biking at my gosh if I did that would be so much fun!

Great looking cabins, love the bath on the patio. How amazing is the river and the turquois lake [beautiful]

Thanks so much for watching Roy. Yes that lake is very pretty, just don’t go in! Nice to look at though. I was there in winter but in summer the view from the outdoor bath is looking at a wall of green on the hop farm, which would look amazing. Thanks again for watching this one. Ben

Thanks Ben, what a great floorplan!... they really have packed a lot in there, without making it feel cluttered or cramped. That looks like a lovely area for unwinding.

Glad you enjoyed it Pete. Yes, the whole cabin felt really spacious. Perfect spot to unwind after exploring the north east. It's one of my favourite regions in Tassie. Just stunning.

The rail trail stops on top of Tullendeena Hill. Yet the railway can down through the bush to Ledgerwood, then Branxholme and Derby...where all the bikes congregate.

I haven’t explored the railways ul there but I’d love to. I read an interesting bill about the are whilst i was there. The history’s seems fascinating.
