The American Battlefield Trust preserves America’s hallowed battlegrounds and educates the public about what happened there and why it matters. We permanently protect these battlefields for future generations as a lasting and tangible memorial to the brave soldiers who fought in the American Revolution, the War of 1812, and the Civil War.

Heading to Antietam this spring for the first time. Due to your maps and videos I can walk in his steps from the beginning of the battle to his death in the West Woods due to him being "Struck in the right hip and torn in half" as stated in his widows pension claim. Hi there, i'm Darren, 53 years old and I so passionate about the civil war era, especially Gettysburg! I never got the chance to visit the battlefield, but man I really wish I could! Thank you for all these videos! I haven't missed a single one ! I play War of Rights on PC on all the battlefields to honor every soldier from both the north and south! I enjoy the videos about Burnsides Bridge and have been there many times. A relative of mine, Lt. Jacob Beaver died fighting to take the bridge. Keep up the good work!
