There's an old Spanish saying: "Cria cuervos y te arrancarán los ojos". Raise crows and they will pulled your eyes out. In other words you can raise a child and you can surely be surprised of what they are capable of doing. Unfortunately, parents are not raising children with a structure and base. Religion and faith plays an important part in child's life. With all respect, even though many don't believe in it. As long as you don't go to the extremes. Faith can help immensely. The world, community and society has gotten horrible.

My oldest son who is almost 40 now, he has had mental health issues since he was a teenager. My ex-husband encouraged the abusive behavior toward me and his siblings. I was the one who called the police several times. The police officers were like the father that he should have had for discipline. They were always on my side. My ex husband had a horrible reputation. My son did great for a long time. Then unfortunately, he got involved with a couple of criminal women. It is not ending well. I went to the police about some of the things they were involved in. He is not permitted back in my home or around us. My ex-husband think that's just wonderful. It's very sickening!

His parents totally knew and tried to help cover it up. They should be charged as well. My entire life growing up my parents always told me "We will fight to the death for you if you're in the right. But if you're in the wrong, you're going to face your consequences." In turn, I taught my daughter the same exact thing. I was never one of those kids that were taught growing up that they can do NO wrong and the parents will always bail them out. I knew if I ever got arrested for something that I did and was in the wrong, not to even bother calling my parents. They for sure would have left my sorry behind sitting in the jail cell all night.

As for evidence the mother is trying to avoid her son being identified as the perpetrator, the mom takes him to the home where her niece is (or was) enjoying her honeymoon for starters. Either she has no boundaries or respect for others, or she's desperate to avoid the police, knowing that the drawing and description could identify her son, as could the camera footage. She gets her son's hair cut very short. This indicates that she is leaving the area to keep him from being questioned or arrested for the crime.

Any caring person would check their kid into a psychiatric hospital if this was the first time he was ever violent and something snapped. They defaulted to COVER UP because they have covered for him in the past. This is why he doesn’t have a criminal record; it’s not the first time he’s been violent, it’s the first time his parents couldn’t get him COMPLETELY off the hook. Then they refuse to pay damages to this woman who has suffered so much because of their son. That’s because they weren’t just trying to protect the kid, they were trying to protect their OWN reputations and wealth. That poisonous apple didn’t fall far from that rotten family tree. It good that that woman had the sense to call the police about “the rumor going around within the family” there is at least one person with some decency, but I’m sure she was concerned for her own safety; as well she should have been, but whatever her motives I’m glad she did. I think the police would have figured it out, there were plenty of witnesses, but he probably would have been in a country without an extradition treaty with the US by then.

This is a sign to begin exercising and get fit. Donna is such an incredibly strong woman, both physically and mentally. The mental strength it must have taken to get up and go up those stairs after getting wounded so badly is unimaginable. Also, this episode was bad for my open windows phobia. I live in India where the temperature can go up to 115 degrees in certain months and i never have the windows open past 1 PM. Sometimes the weather is so good and I'm tempted to open them and sleep, even though our windows have grills and screens, but i don't. The AC is always on. It's sad how we can't enjoy these simple pleasures in life because of freak shows like this guy with the knife.

I sometimes open them during the day when it's nice, but when we go to bed, I agree it's sad that we have to worry. If I'm home alone, I usually don't even leave them open during the day.

@@zxy78267 same! My mom is especially paranoid and every evening, she would go around the house locking every window and door. Even the door of every bedroom. Now, i do the same.

I love the way Donna sees her physical scars as artwork! They truly are beautiful - not only because they remind us of the skill and dedication of the doctors who saved her life, but they also remind us of the miracle that Donna worked herself. Just the fact that she managed (no doubt with divine help) to get herself upstairs and to get through that 911 call. Donna is an inspiration to us all. Bless her!❤👍👍ps: I'm glad she won the judgement for $5 mil in the civil suit, but sorry to hear she has not received payment. The VERY LEASE Doyle's father could do considering everything is to pay her that amount. I gather they can afford it!

I've lived in fear but he was my boyfriend and I later wondered how lucky I was to survive. Donna is absolutely amazing and brave, a very stong woman, not just physically but mentally, the determination to survive, her thoughts of her daughter giving her the strength, my son gave me the strength, he was 5... I am so glad that Donna survived and is able to talk about it, god bless her, Kirsten is the double of her mum.. 2 beautiful women xx
