Hi Ingeborg! So sorry you've been having so many struggles. Loved your wips. You have such a varied assortment of designs, it's always fun to see what you've been stitching. Sorry to hear you are on the struggle bus. Keep pressing forward. I don't like winter either. I still walk outside each day, walking helps. Winter is my biggest stitching season 🌻I try to focus on that. Huggs and love sent to you🌻

It was great to see and hear what you've been up to. Sorry everything has hit you at one time. It can be hard to believe that it will get better, but I believe it will. Your WIPs are fun to see. They're so beautiful. I'm glad that you were able to find patterns to remember Haus Tirol. Every time I shop there, I think of our short visit. Right now, I'm frogging When Flowers Blossom as I missed the flower laying across the house and was just filling in the house. Oh well. I'm with you about stitching projects that have color right now. It makes me happier to stitch spring type projects during the winter months. Keep stitching, it helps.

SO far it's mainly been hormonal imbalance, I hope i get spared the hot flushes :) but yeah can't wait to get it over with.

Nice video, thank you. I hope your trip on the struggle bus is brief and yes, most of us have been there. My appliances like to betray me on holidays and birthdays. This year my dishwasher died spectacularly on my birthday by shorting out. My son looked at the electrical harness and it was actually burnt. So the fact that there was no fire made it a minor annoyance. Also, I love my new dishwasher! On the 10th day of Christmas my garage door opener gave to me....a loud pop and something burrrrrrnnnnny. It was 20 years old and owed me nothing. I feel your pain. But your stitching is beautiful and those bright, happy colors do help, don't they? Take care.

Oh Boy! My oven did that a few years back, went out with a literal bang! With the dishwacher gone too, it's time for a new kitchen :) I just have to find time to go and look for one lol

🤗Good to see you Ingeborg and hear about what you have been up to. I’m sorry you have had some health/emotional issues. Winter is a hard time for those in very wintery climates. I understand your frustration with home problems, I just had to put in a new septic system and a new roof! I hope that’s it for big expenditures!! Hopefully stitching helps you feel better and you said you were going to a retreat.

Hi! So happy to visit with you. Know that though you struggle during winter, you are not alone. My anxiety has to do with the weather and driving. Already I noticed the days are getting longer and we've been pretty lucky with the weather. I'll choose to look at the glass half full in order to get through the tougher times. Happy New Year! Hang in there with the Menopause....mine took years and seemed worse than any of my friends. The good news is after it was over I have no symptoms where some of my other friends still do. It is a journey. Exercise helps, some say Soy helps......everyone is different. Oh, and I also LOVE Haus Tirol. Go there every spring when visiting Williamsburg. It is a definite stop every year.

I use a lot of the plastic sleeves for my patterns. You can also call them sheet protectors. Isn’t it maddening when you can’t recall a word. ( It happens quite a lot for me😂😳). I bought the Long Dog Sampler “Beauty Spotte” pattern after seeing yours in a previous video-such beautiful colors! Bright colors also make me happy. Keep smiling, thank you for your videos!

Ingeborg- if you liked Pillars you will like The Fall of Giants (pt 2 of the trilogy). Another historical based novel is Cathedral of the Sea by Ildefonso Falcones. He is a Spanish author but I was able to find a version in English. So good!!!! I hope your ride on the struggle bus is coming to an end- it’s no fun. Cheers.

I watched your video and then I was a bum and didn’t finish it in one go so now I can’t remember much of the stitching. Hi Ingeborg! I am catching up on Flosstube and enjoyed your lovely projects. It was interesting that you mentioned the book by M.Ishikawa. I knew vaguely about the author and the book but could not bring myself to read it. ↓ The subject of NKorea is a very “sensitive” and dark subject that the average Japanese is kind of taught not to talk about openly or try to make sense of. Of course there are multiple aspects to every story…

Hi Ingeborg, I have a problem in winter as well. I’m going to order a couple of light bulbs a friend pointed out on Amazon which are supposed to help with that. I’ll let you know if I think it helps. Menopause, well that’s just never fun to go through. What an interesting book list! I listen sometimes but not a lot. I can’t seem to keep up with Flosstube videos I want to watch so my time is taken up with that as I stitch. Blessings, Marlene

Hoi Ingeborg, wat naar om te horen dat de winterdepressie je te pakken heeft. Nog een paar weken en dan komt de lente weer in de lucht. Ik zag vande week de eerste sneeuwklokjes, dat is voor mij altijd het teken dat het niet lang meer gaat duren. Fijn dat borduren (met kleur!) je er een beetje doorheen helpt. Je werken zijn zoals altijd prachtig! Ben je in september ook bij de TwinPeakPrimitives retreat? Dat zou leuk zijn en iets om naar uit te kijken. Sterkte en heel veel borduurplezier! Groetjes, Alice

Love what you've been stitching!! Hope you get to feeling better. My husband has clinical depression, plus he also has the Seasonal Affective Disorder. He is on medication, so that really helps. My main reason for this comment is - I was wondering what kind of a stand you have? I purchased the frames that you have, and my little stand is not near big enough so I have not really been able to use my frame yet. :( I would love to see your stand if you would care to share that. Oh gosh, winter must be hard for you! HOpe your husband is noticing the days getting longer again! For my frames I use a wooden stand, I bought it years ago. It's nothing fancy but it suits my needs. I didn't want anything too big and something I could just move to the side when I needed some space for other activities. I think it's called the stitchmaster. I'm not sure they still have the one made of wood, but there is a similar one made of aluminium, which is called the stitchsmart. I think both were from the Daylight company.

Howdy! Sorry you're on the struggle bus. They say during the winter our bodies are depleted of Vit D so you might want to start a daily regimen of at least 2000IU's per day. Vit B Complex is also good for energy! As for menopause....ugh, if only there was something we could take for that. Sucks to be a woman sometimes!

I hope that's a typo because 2000IU's per day is way too much and can actually cause problems for your heart and kidneys. I take 10 micrograms per day which is a bit more than the daily requirement but considered safe. I'm not sure it' helps my depression but it's good to make sure to get enough vit D :)

Actually when someone is really low, the Dr's will prescribe a 50,000IU to take twice weekly. I think the lowest dosage in our pharmacies are 500IU's.

Interesting, I guess the medical opinions differ around the world. As fas as I know our government and national health board have limited the dosage to 1000IU and European law sets a max of 4000. Since I dont have any medical indication i'm gonna stick to my 10 mcg :)
