"I have so much love to give for someone, but that someone isn't there yet, and that's really frustrating." I felt that very deeply, and honestly made me tear up, because that is EXACTLY, nearly word for word, what I say and how I feel. It's hard. really hard. But I agree, you just have to let it come naturally, despite how hard it may be. I have to keep reminding myself of that. This was an absolutely beautiful video with powerful messages. Thank you, so much for this. I really needed to hear that. 🧡

gosh what a lovely video. it's so human to want to love and be loved. the desire for a deep and meaningful romantic love that brings stability and connection, and makes you feel seen and understood can be so overwhelming and frustrating when you feel like youre ready but its nowhere to be found. brads advice hits so different,, pour that love you have into yourself and the people around you, and it will only help you to foster healthier and more grounded relationships in the future. 💛💛💛 healing takes time, be patient and kind to yourself. sending so much love

Trust me guys it gets better after realizing u don't really need anyone unless they are that right person for you

I've spent the last year or so looking for romance after avoiding it for years. To me it's not even about finding the right person it's about feeling that attraction, comfort and love towards a person. As much as platonic love is so so so fulfilling, I still feel this little void of loneliness. Brad put it best "I have so much love to give for someone and that someone isn't there yet, and that's really frustrating". I think I'm beginning to realise all the ways I've been forcing myself into loving someone just to satiate that frustration. From settling for people who make me feel just enough to think about our potential to forcing myself into liking someone just because they meet my standards, as much as those experiences took a lot out of me emotionally and mentally it helped me realise that I need more time and that there's nothing wrong with that. Thank you for this video, it was cathartic and comforting to watch.I hope we all find love that fills our hearts and makes life more beautiful.

i’ve felt this way before, you just have to let it happen, your friends are right, let yourself heal, let yourself be upset for a bit, another relationship will come to you, it’s all apart of life; i thought i would never find anyone n i didn’t really feel good without being drunk or high. we have our whole lives to experience romance don’t let one relationship ruin it and yourself

You are right, those things are part of the process; waiting, feeling shame, confusion, being in denial, etc etc. you are in the process and it reminds me of what I tell people, how being confused, being impatient, frustrated are parts of the process; of finding out. there is someone thinking and waiting for you. Even if they don’t know you yet but think of the person that’s like you, that still counts!! we will continue to wait with you so please don’t give up even if it’s tempting to. endure being frustrated when being patient because I wouldn’t want you to sacrifice what you really want. Take care, Simon!!

Haven't been in a relationship or allowed myself to fall for anybody for 10 years, so I basically have no dating experience. Part of me regrets distancing myself due to past trauma, but during that time I also allowed myself to heal a lot of scars I had from past experiences and I became a better person for it. Self-love is so important, and now I'm in a much healthier mindset than I was years ago. I'm happier, more successful, and comfortable. Being alone can be really difficult and lonely sometimes - especially when friends around you date, get married, and have kids - but it's also really freeing and has it's benefits. In the end I think this experience will really benefit me and help me to become a better partner for whomever happens to walk into my life.

oh man, it's crazy how last night I had a conversation about this exact thing. although I've experienced deep love (in a friendship sense) I have not yet experienced romantic love. I was feeling upset with myself for that reason because the way I feel has nothing to do with the people around me, but everything to do with myself. basically the advice I received was the same as this video. let go of the expectation that you "should" feel a certain way right now and just embrace it; learn to love yourself by being as authentic to you as possible; and be patient because healing, discovering, and learning takes time. so to anyone who has taken the time to read this comment, I hope that we all find what we're looking for someday 🤍 thanks Simon for this video

Hey man, I just wanted to let you know, this video was much needed. I really admire the vibes you give and you seem like someone that I’d be down to hangout fr fr. I know I may be some stranger on the internet, but I was in my second relationship two years ago and it lasted for a year. This was during my junior year of college. As a Asian American myself, I’ve always felt really insecure about myself back then and didn’t really think I’d be able to get into a relationship, but this was such a good wake up call cause I’m in nearing to my mid twenties and I’ve been a bit worried because I just thought I wouldn’t find that significant other, but I know it takes time and the past of the process is to really just improve yourself through self love and how you can put all of that energy to you, so in the long run you’ll be able to put that to someone you cherish. Thank you for this video and I’ve had bits of thoughts on giving up on love, but I think just going on a date can really bring the door open have bring in hope to a lot of people. Thank you for sharing and I hope you have a good rest of your day and I’m always going to root for you in the long run! You’re going to do great things and I know for a fact you’ll find your significant other too!

Wow what a video. Really enjoyed this and so glad I came across this video. I (although still a highschooler - 17yrs) had this issue for about 5 years, I just genuinely never ever had crushes on anyone and just wasn't interested to the point where people would question my sexuality and would think I was strange - I always just blamed it on the fact I was going through puberty but never came across others with the same feeling so it's cool to see that I'm not the only one. Fortunately in the past 6 months, despite having still never been on a date, I have been able to develop love and feelings for people which has definitely helped my mental health and understanding of myself. Don't worry about it, as you say, take the time to love yourself (which I failed to do 😅) and just have fun with friends as you are doing and the right person will come into your life :)))))

I really admire the courage for this content, normally people will not share about their personal lives and share learnings on them. My last relationship was 3 years ago, and it was a tough break up. For the last years I started to focus more in myself and I am really proud of the results, but obviously there are still times in which loneliness hits (and hits hard). Similar to you, I was pretty scared of not being able to find someone who fulfills my “romantic fairytale” expectations and I was worried about it asking to myself “would I ever feel the butterflies in my stomach again?” I really enjoy being in love, mostly because I can be who I am meant to be, and as painful as it may sound there will be times that you will feel alone and with no love regardless of how many people surround you. This last year I became aware of something: I can be in love with my friends, family, places, dogs, memories and with myself, and nowadays I can really say that I do not need to establish a relationship with any girl to be what I am meant to be. This were 3 harsh years, I have never spoken about this with anyone, I learned to love again by myself and I am very proud on how this resulted, because now I’ve met a girl; would she be the one? I do not know. I only know that I am happy when she is around and this might be the beginning of an even better story. So, with all that I have learned and the maturity that I have constituted, I will not back down. Because you shouldn’t fear love; because you should embrace and enjoy it as long as it lasts. I never knew the time when I was going to say this but I think I am into someone, and better yet, she is into me. So wish me luck. I am very excited on what is to come with her. I stopped waiting for someone to appear a long time ago, so stop waiting and start loving each moment you live. Life will give you what you deserve. Send you love fam 🫶 Thank you for this video.

You don't know how much you have restored faith in love for me again. I am just like Brad, I have this much love that I want to share but no one to do so, which is really just, FRUSTRATING. But I will really try to love myself more and become the better version of myself, who I am going to be with down the road. So true sense this message made to me, hope it does to everyone in need, out there. You got this, you are stronger than ever before, that's why you are living in the PRESENT ! : )

I had so much move love to give so I put it back into myself, now that's a beautiful line man, I'm not really into self love but I'm definitely really really into self care, taking care of how I look speak write, how I carry myself , it's about increasing my value as a man, or as cliche as it sounds, getting closer and closer to my best self

so here is the deal. I just found this video and I don't know if the universe send me this or sm, but man...I needed this. I just started a new relationship after a very hard breakup 2 years ago. Im not gonna lie, it a problem for me to live in that moment. Iam always thinking about the past or future, but when do I ever stop to just..be there and not worry. thank you
