A story of IRAQ that NOBODY KNOWS!

In 1928 a New Zealand born civil engineer set out to build a road linking Erbil in Northern Iraq to the Iranian border.
Completed in just 4 years and now called the Hamilton Road, this incredible feat of engineering would cross mountains, seemingly impassable gorges, and rivers. As well as this, Hamilton would have to contend with more human obstacles of warring tribes, brigands, bureaucrats, injury and disease.
In this mini-documentary I travel and tell the story of the Hamilton Road as it crosses northern mountains of Iraqi Kurdistan. The views are spectacular, and it’s hard to believe that this can be Iraq and Kurdistan. We travel through Shaqlawa, Rawanduz, Gali Ali Bag, the Korek Mountain Resort, Shingelbana Pank Resort and Khanzad Castle towards the Zagros mountains and Iran.
For more of Hamilton’s story, his book A Road Through Kurdistan makes for a fascinating read.

That "outlaw" you mention Simko Shikak is regarded as the William Wallace of Kurdistan. He started a rebellion against the extremely oppressive brutal ruler of Iran at the time which was a turkish density not persian. He led dead poor farmers and defeated the Iranian army several times. Of course he is demonsed as an "outlaw" and accused of all kind of rubbish like "massacres" by Iranian authorities who "wrote" history.

My apologies, it is not my intention to go at all into the politics of a country - I simply want to show the beauty, particularly to those in other countries who may have negative images. I put "Iraqi Kurdistan" so as to represent the part of Kurdistan which is an autonomous region within the current borders of Iraq. No intention to cause offence to you or any other Kurdish people. I hope at least I have shown Kurdistan in a good light, as the beautiful place that it is.

You are really funny that it is the borders of Iraq and it is called the Kurdistan region of Iraq. Do not lie and believe the lie. You are not a state. It is only a province. All of your salaries are from Baghdad and the Iraqi government. Your oil is from the Iraqi government. You live and eat from the Iraqi nuggets, your money is Iraqi, your passports are Iraqi, so shut up. When you are a country, which is impossible to happen, because once iraq separates, Turkey will take the whole north region according to the expenditures of Sais-Pico. You are just a child. You do not know that this is a serious issue and that it is not a child’s game or pride. You are not Iraqis, and I admit this, and we are not honored to be of you, but the land belongs to us historically. real history. Politically, if you were really good, you would have gone out, fought and died in order to obtain a homeland. Do not sit behind the screen and bark like dogs. Iraq will remain one from the north to the south. You are only able to talk like this about northern Iraq. You have Turkey, Iran and Syria. You become cowards when you talk about it. You are really funny.
@AliAli-wb3ii
@AliAli-wb3ii 2 жыл бұрын
@@ChrisKermisCan you not go into the politics and history of the country? How shameful it is for you to present the problem only from their biased side. Why do you not go to Turkey, Iran, and Syria and meet the Kurds there as well and demand the building of a state, but do not come only to Iraq and demand the building of a state for the Kurds only here. Why should only we give our land to them and the rest of the countries do not give. The three provinces that you see are all built by Massoud from Iraq's money and oil that he took from the government of Iraq. And you, do you think that separation is so easy, who will agree, neither Turkey, nor Iran, nor Syria, nor us, nor America, nor Israel, which they have a relationship with, nor Russia, nor any strong country will agree because the borders are built according to the Sais-Picot agreement, and if this agreement is broken. This means that there are no Arab countries, all of which belong to Turkey. Do America and Europe accept that? You are talking about something that is impossible to happen. It is the policy of countries and not just the policy of Iraq, and these people are brainwashed. If we do not have love or origin, interests will bring us together. The Kurds are the ones who will die if the separation occurs. Turkey will seize everything and it will become a war. Turkey is thousands of times larger than three provinces. It is represented by Kurdistan and the army as well. Do not forget that Turkey is allied with all countries and America will also enter. The only loser in this all is the Kurds who demand a homeland They walk with their emotions, they do not study the subject, they do not see the truth, and they do not think about what will happen to them in the future

And I tell them this is not Iraq and it’s just our land got invaded ( uk / France ) and more then after some time. I see their videos. Wow you don’t believe this is Iraq. They don’t even share one word about Kurdistan. They call it like Kurdish area. 🤨 okay no if I visit my friends in Ukraine I will post a video. You don’t believe this is Russia. Wow 😯.
