Apparently, this is some thing that the yakuza actually does they collect the tattoos of fallen gang members as respect and memory but they only collect the tattoos from the gang members. Sometimes it I’ll see is used as a trophies.

there was also a doctor in japan who would pay yakuza members for their skin when they died and he would collect the tattoos, he eventually had a collection of a couple hundred skins and one day when he was traveling in america someone robbed him and took his suit case with like 50 skins in it that he was traveling with and it was never found and the rest of them were put on display in a museum although today that exhibit is not open to the public

They're not always the most intelligent. There is a Japanese serial killer who did this and I wondered if this character was based on him 🤷🏻

Getting alot done takes time, and nowadays its easier but not great. Also before and after photos, can be used as evidence, more witness's, doctors ask why, so you'd need to get it done "underground" or corrupt doctors.

Getting a few medium sized tats removed from my arm right now…it’s 1. Very expensive 2. Takes a longggg time for it to completely disappear (can be up to 10 years depending on many factors) 3. You need multiple sessions (like 5-16) depending on the tat…which is a huge commitment as the sessions are spread over 6weeks to 6 months…4. Color is incredible hard to remove, let alone a large colored back piece with very thick lines and 5. It is excruciating just doing medium fine line pieces on my arm, you would likely need anesthesia for those large back pieces A passerby would more so recognize his face than his back tattoos…so cost and time wise, plastic surgery was more worth it.

Yakuza almost never reveal their tattoos to anyone especially not the public. They will use their own bath houses or empty a public one

Ngl, your recap kinda sounds like it was written and read by AI XD "[sentence].ma" and the ".ma" part was written as well, in a perfectly normal voice as if that was correct and not at all suprising or weird. The whole sentence structure and grammar and everything also kinda seems like AI, it just sounds way more static than a normal person would talk. So, my guess is the script was written by AI, then was read and got some minor adjustments/corrections (which is where the typo happened) and then it was read by an AI (which is why the typo was read out like normal). Still not too bad though.
