Walk around the entire perimeter of the main concourse at old Comiskey Park starting at the front entry behind home plate. Experience the range of food stands and sights including the left field picnic area added by Bill Veeck in the early 1960s. This digital recreation of old Comiskey Park shows how the park looked during the final season in 1990.

I miss The Baseball Palace of the World. I remember this place like I was there yesterday. I had season tickets for the last 18 years of the park. Brings back great memories. Thank you for the great job you have done with your recreation of it.

Back in the late 1970's, Nancy Faust used to play that classic song, "Popcorn" by Hot Butter at every game I attended and I went to a lot of games. This video really brings me back to the main concourse and all of the fine details of the inner Comiskey Park. Nicely done!!

It's been thirty years since I walked around the concourse just like as in this video. It's amazing how many things I see here and think to myself "I remember that!" I don't remember there being a locked gate between the left field concourse and the center field bleachers, though. Then again, it has been thirty years.

This is great, not as good as still being able to be there, but pretty close, everything is as I remember it and Nancy's music makes it really feel like you are there. I miss the place a lot. I went to hundreds of games there and considered Comiskey my second home. Very well done, thanks..

Excellent work!!!!! I so miss this place , I spent a lot of summer days and nites here , it's too bad that in our country , temples are torn down instead of preserved. I wish that leaving a part of the structure and repurposing it would have been considered , and would have been a great tribute to the grand ole lady. Along with the home plate that now marks the hallowed grounds where some of baseball's firsts , and some records still stand today.

Nice job. Brought back memories, especially of the picnic area. Back in the early to mid 1980's, I would grab the baseball schedule when it came out. I would take the train from Toronto to Chicago. There were times when both the Sox and Cubs played the same day at home. Would catch a game at Wrigley Field in the afternoon, then take the subway to Comiskey Park for a night game. Good times.

I can almost smell the stale beer.... My family was season ticket holder 82-86 when I was a kid. Upper deck , first base side. Great seats. My man , Carlton Fisk.....Dewey LaMarr Hoyt.....Richard Dotson.....a young Harold Baines. Some great players. Also enjoyed Nancy on the organ. Listening to Joe McConnel on WMAQ doing postgame radio on the drive home. The memories I have of that place. The current park , whatever the name , just doesnt do it for me. Between Comiskey and Chicago Stadium I was lucky to be able to attend the two greatest sports venues ever.

Thanks for the great memories, and stunning attention to details I'd almost forgotten. A big part of the enjoyment of Old Comiskey was that lively organ music. I loved it as a kid. Wrigley's organ never could match it.

I remember that walk around so many times in the late 60s thru 80s. I was one of the old Sox Supporters in left field section 46. To bad the place was never kept up like this and if it were we still might have it today

@@bandboxballparks7081 Now you do have to show the goats kepingg the grass down, the stands burning once and collapsing once, the Phillies use Lifebuoy sigh in right field (and the still stink, according to the fans), the time they were caught using a telegrah wire running to the CF clubhouse that was used to steal signs...well, maybe not.

The architect who designed Comiskey Park also designed Wrigley Field Los Angeles. I imagine the concourse underneath was very similar.

This is amazing. A time machine essentially. I never knew the name of that song Nancy played, but I share the same experience with another commentator. Seems like she always played it during opposing teams' BP. Strange - this has brought back so many latent memories. Thank you!

No offense, but here’s a reality check for you. The old Comiskey Park was an 80 year old, crumbling relic from the past, and it had to go. The place was falling apart. The stands had too many column posts blocking your views, there were not enough restrooms, and they reeked of urine. No amount of renovation money could save it. They needed a new ballpark, which was the only solution. Sometimes, you have to replace the old with new. Circle of life.
