I am a 27 year old schitzo n I work n never got a SSI check. I hate how ppl think all of us are the same. Im not a mother but I been told I would be a great mother n I babysit all the time. I see it as a strength not a disability. Professionals wanted me to hurry up n get a s.s check smh but I never wanted tht. We blame society who is trying to cope with the strain of the families who have failed these children. These kids would never have been in the system had their families not failed them. We just give a pass to the family and just skip to blaming everybody else. The system is trying, but it is definitely lacking.

I could never forgive someone who is not sorry for what they did. Letting go of resentment is not the same thing as forgiving the perpetrator or the enabler. Letting go of resentment, to me, is simply acknowledging the fact that people who do bad things will always be around, and that it wasn't my fault they chose to do evil things and happened to target me; that, no matter what they did, no matter how maliciously the act was inflicted upon me, they have no real power over me, the way I think about myself or my life. Too often all we hear of Western culture- its glories and shame. But their is history of other people- the people of the color, which needs to be expounded upon to the masses.

But as an Canadian, I can see the way the american system makes it easy for these criminals to operate. Services are so lacking in many states and education of the police is behind everywhere else. People needs social programs for reasons like this, think about the people whose policies allow for these things to happen so easily and often the next time you're going to vote.
