As a hell let loose player im 99% sure you cant blow a tank up with a grenade, it probably had a satchel charge on it considering it was close to friendlies

Fun fact: while it does not have pistol ports, Company of Heroes two does have a few tanks where the crews use either grenades (Pershing, Comet) or machine guns firing from hatches (Churchill) to defend themselves.

The Cromwell in Hell Let Loose appears to be directly copied from the Cromwell at the Bovington Tank Museum, Both have serial number 190003, both have the Polish armoured emblem, both are Squadron A of the HQ Company and both have the Blue/Green 45. the green on it is way darker than in real life though, and the colouration on the decals is way brighter than it is IRL as well.

I’m a HLL player and while the tanking isn’t super realistic getting into a steel box with 2 guys you don’t know and having to depend on them and develop teamwork to even move the tank where it needs to go and look in the right directions creates some of the most fun and intense gameplay experiences I’ve ever had in an fps

I think the persicope view instead of being unbuttoned up may be a persicope binoculars thingy, which is not nessecary a part of any tank, but can be just put up through an open hatch and rotated as much as you can rotate around in your seat.

You didn’t destroy the tank with the frag grenade in the first clip. It’s not possible in hell let loose to even damage a tank with frags I’m pretty sure. Two very minor corrections that are more pet peeves of mine than mistakes, but In terms of Pz.IV G & H, schürzen isn't a very reliable way to differentiate them since Ausf.G was often retrofitted with them as well. Instead the most notable external differences would be whether the upper front plate has applique armour (G), or is one piece (H), and if it has side vision ports for the crew in the hull. And less importantly Tiger was only briefly called Ausf H or H1, from late '42 to March of '43 and all Tigers we're retroactively designated Ausf.E, so you're correct but I'm just irrationally bothered when people call any Tiger with the drum cupola an H1, similar to the Pz.IV F2/frühes G debate if you're familiar. Great and very informative video though! I definitely learned some new things that I've overlooked and will definitely be introducing to my Sprocket replicas!

The reason the commander's view port is different from the periscope in some tanks, is that the devs placed all the view ports accurately, but the periscope itself is a fixed placeholder, it does not move around with the turret.

"But, but, but....Artillery!" people always whine. The percentage of you dying from artillery shrapnel at times is far less then dying because you could not see the enemy Tank, Anti Tank crews, and bad patches of terrain that will get you stuck in the shit, Being a tank commander is all about trying to see the enemy first and getting the first shot off before he see you. hey eta, in the very first clip it looks like you threw the frag and then either a satchel or a rocket hit the tank causing it to detonate afterwards, you can see the time delay in between the grenade exploding and the actual explosion of the tank, which would be odd because the tank will almost simultaneously explode at the same time the satchel explodes or the rocket makes contact.

I actually think of T-70 when i come across the subject of Russian light tanks because i played a bunch of CoH2 and when i play as Russians there, i like using T-70 for ambushing enemy infantry transport vehicles and supply truck and whatnot. (Idk if it is a good tactic but i find it fun, and in the end, that's all that matters) Also speaking about coh2, it would be cool if you take a look at company of heroes and it's tanks.

Hell Let Loose more focus on the gameplay and beginner friendly, while Post Scriptum focus more on Realism, both have their up and down it's up the player which one is more enjoyable, personally I prefer PS but sadly the game is on an edge of dying so I might play HLL in the future

As an avid Hell Let Loose player, my friends and I do get bothered by the inaccuracies of the tanks, particularly the "balance" of putting certain tanks in light/medium/heavy categories, but that being said I understand why they did it and that they unfortunately probably wont change it anytime soon.

Maybe if instead of not being able to repair the tank at a low level maybe you can repair and when you level up you repair faster of course not an OP speed.

I recall one clip of a moving drop that was successful, idk If I can find it, but a drone was following a T-72 and managed to dunk a grenade directly into an open hatch while it was on the move. Would not have liked being in that T-72.

i actually played HLL for its tanks for a while. but lost interest because rather than focusing historical accuracy, they did balance, which is fair, i still like HLL but personally it lost my favor over other titles just because of me actually liking an asymmetric design. found post scriptum, its nice, but. if there's a game to play for historical/realistic gameplay, the best 2 I've found are IL-2 sturmovik, and GHPC
