My Mama passed away on March 30th after a decade-long journey through Lewy Body Dementia. I played this song for her during her last days while our family was together with her. This will always have a great deal of meaning and emotion for us all.

I cried to this song as I took my big brother back and forth to chemo He was terminal I could relate to every part of this song. While he was alive I took the lines in this song and made them positive... repairing a very strained relationship, praying for a miracle or more time. After he died I cried constantly to this song. Thinking about how every day lead us ‘one step closer’ to his passing. ‘I have loved you for 1000 years’ meant we have have known each other since the beginning, before friends, wife, kids... and ‘ I will love you for 1000 more’ meant I know a part of that only we will share.
