I grew up nearby. Went camping in this area every year. Always loved seeing the Amish buggies lined up at the grocery store and passing them along the roads as we drove past the cornfields and beautiful countryside

I’m not sure of the actual purpose of the roofs? Does anyone know 🤔?
@LancoAmish Жыл бұрын
Covered bridges are constructed of wood. The roofs were needed to protect the wooden decks from the weather so they wouldn’t decay as fast.

Why did they cover the bridges?

Thanks for watching. The bridges were covered to protect the wooden decks from rotting too quickly.

If we were all Amish, the world would be a paradise

You did not stop at a stop sign at 1:38. That’s not illegal and potentially dangerous. That s one hundred pus dollar fine not including the increase in you insurance premium. Plus such violations push up the cost of insurance coverage for everyone. As a result I’m unsubscribing this channel and will never watch your videos ever again. 😡
