Hey, Tim...What's that trap door in your table I see at 4:00? Great videos. I'm sharing with all my beginner friends in our local pottery studio.

I was gonna be using it when I handbuilt to push my scraps in and collect them in a bin underneath. I never ended up using it.

Awesome studio!!! What are the dimensions of your wheel table. You said 4' x 5 ' what is the width and height. I want to build something just like that!

I’d say do the measurements for your wheel and how far you want behind your stool. Mine is about 4x5 but may want more or less room.

Could another wheel ever possibly be modified to add such a fantastic pedal like that??
@timseepots
@timseepots 4 жыл бұрын
barb baker people have taken the pedal and attached them to other wheels. The pedals alone cost 500 though.

Any suggestions on the best pottery wheels for beginners?
@timseepots
@timseepots 2 жыл бұрын
Used but they can be hard to find. The shimpo lite is a good wheel at the lowest price point that would last as you grew. Amazon has some cheap wheels, but they are small and their longevity is questionable as some come out of the box with issues and they are out together with zip ties and hope.

Do you find your Brent splash pan leaks or drips where they join? How does one solve that issue? Please don’t say use less water. 😂
@timseepots
@timseepots 4 жыл бұрын
Rhonda Valverde no I use a ton of water. When it starts to get full empty it. Or is it leaking like in a different way?
@rhondavalverde7219
@rhondavalverde7219 4 жыл бұрын
Timsee no it leaks/drips from the base of the seam where the front and the back join. I look on the floor and there is a puddle coming from the bottom of that crack. Are all the Brent splash pans interchangeable with all their wheels?

@@rhondavalverde7219 Then you might be using too much water, Are you putting it on with a sponge?
@rhondavalverde7219
@rhondavalverde7219 4 жыл бұрын
@Timsee clay hmmm not sure what you mean by putting it on with a sponge, but a solution might be to put a sponge under the crack where the button that fits into the recess are to soak up the leaks
