The "Domestic Church" is a little-known term but is of extreme importance. So much so, that if we lose it, society will cease to exist. In this week’s episode, Fr. Chris Alar, MIC, shares the Church’s teaching on the definition of the term and what it means for Catholics. He also shares an incredible example of a town that you wouldn’t believe still exists today and how its inhabitants live out the essence of the domestic Church in their everyday lives.

Oh, My God! Thank you that in your great love and mercy, Westphalia, Michigan, is freed from the extreme modernism of the world. It’s really unbelievable! I deeply appreciate the beautiful values normally lived, awesome! Thank you for this wonderful presentation, Fr. Chris. I love it so much that I can’t stop admiring the inner beauty of each person. For the rest of the world, there’s a lot of work to be done. When I was meditating at 5 Am today, I heard an inner voice inside me telling me to print the image of Jesus Divine Mercy and distribute it to the peoples here in Belgium where I live. It’s only a small one which I acquired during a spiritual seminar at Don Bosco Seminary in my country, the Philippines. It was more or less 8 years ago. I promise Jesus that I will do it in the hope that many souls will go back to God. Again, thank you Fr. Chris and may His blessings be showered upon you always.

I love that the priest there did a special mass for the girl's team and that they reached out to him. You can tell that they have a deep commitment to Christ and want to get each other to heaven. What a beautiful community.

@@catherinebarela3981 thank you but why do you find it necessary to turn this into a race issue? It isn't. Generations of these families have been living in that town for over 100 years. Everyone is welcome there. South Fulton Georgia is almost 100% black. Does anyone ask why in a negative way? No, because that would be racist. God bless.

I wish i could raise my family there because everywhere, on every corner, there's this ideological warfare where the world doesn't believe in Jesus and its almost a shame to discuss about him. If my kids were to be surrounded by faithful servant of Christ, they would be blooming!

I'm asking for prayers because my 16 yr.old daughter ran away today. Feel my family has been under a dark cloud as every few weeks devastating things have happen to our family. Please pray for us. We lost our home a year ago.. Been living in our 5th wheel and within the year have lived in 4 states. Family separated as my older 2 sons decided to stay in TX. My daughter has struggled, we have clung to God but my daughter became lost idolized evil that has consumed her... We are sing all that we can and just need help.. we just want to find her alive so we can find help she needs even if that takes her from us. I know it's hard living with us as I'm blind disabled with a rare illness NMO. Has not been easy for any of us.

I agree Fr that family should tech their children but am very concerned how more and more government, like schools or medical taking control of children, here in Australia i heard that children can be vaccinated even if parents don't agree. So what are parents to do in this situation?

Thank you Fr. Chris for teaching us about the domestic church. I just have a question in regards to the sacrament of confirmation. Why does the Roman Catholic Church confirm the children when they are teens where as the Eastern Catholics confirm infants at baptism?
