Jdilla produced almost all of the tracks, PrincePaul produced a few remixes and underground remixes and unreleased stuff you hear, Phife dog also produced a few tracks as the later album was released Midnight Marauders he had his footprint in a few tracks, but generally Prince Paul and Jdillas work. Superb production, but the group went against the Jdilla signature sound on the last 2 albums, which were the poorest rated and poorest produced and less memorable just commercial style tracks. That ended this group.

Yeah when it came out it was like Whoa- this music- this genre, can literally stand shoulder to shoulder with ANY music. As technically precise, dense, meaningful and compelling as any other music you can listen to- and the entire album is essentially one seminal work. At the time it was in a class by itself and I honestly think there’s maybe only 1-2 other hip hop albums that can match it in its entirety.

The early 90's was a fantastic time for both Hip Hop and Rock music. The likes of ATCQ, Tupac Shakur, Nirvana, Pantera, Metallica, Slayer, Biggie Smalls, Scarface, Nas, Wu Tang Clan, Soundgarden, Alice in Chains, E 40, Spice 1 and so, so many more were just coming out left and right! Music isn't even close to being that good anymore. Thank goodness for the likes of KZfaq giving us all a place to easily find not only the music videos but lyric videos, covers, live versions, bootlegs, hell even reaction videos! And more. VEVO and YT definitely have some really annoying things about them but it's free (YT premium is an option not mandatory which is great of them to do!) and extremely convenient. Anyway, let me get back to enjoying all of the great music from all different eras, races, genres, sexes and everything in between that sounds good! Peace! 🤘🏼🤘🏼🔥🎸🖤♥️😎✌️🤙👋

Everything from Gangsta Rap, Death/Extreme Metal, R & B, Classic Rock, GO-GO (DC music!), Punk Rock, Folk (even stuff like Ledbelly!), Blues, Jazz, all of the subgenres of Metal, even some Country (Johnny Cash mostly 😂 But I'm open minded enough to give it more of a try! Etc. I once heard a pretty insightful comment on a podcast from Mary Lou Lord (an awesome musician and one time short lived Girlfriend of Kurt Cobain! This was shortly before Kurt met the evil Witch 🧹🪄 Courtney Love who had Kurt murdered by the way! Anyways 😂 The quote Mary said was "you can really tell how a person will be by the types of music they enjoy listening to" or something pretty similar and that's a spot on observation! So, yes I also could be your friend just based on the safe assumption that you listen to the same kinda music I enjoy! I remember seeing this video on MTV as a suburban white kid from California when I was 13 in 1993 and it just totally blew me away. Never heard anything like it. Got me into hip-hop. Some of the best music ever. After started listening to De La, Roots, Gang Starr, Wu-Tang.. RIP Phife! Classic!
