A Tribute To The Norfolk And Western

Жыл бұрынHere is a re-vamped, Re-edited version of my Norfolk & Western Tribute, Originally put together in May of 2020. This new re-vamped version also includes a high quality version of the incredibly hard to find N&W song "There's No Stopping Us" (more commonly known today as Cargo Movin' People) produced by the J. Walter Thompson Company in 1980 for the N&W as part of there "There's No Stopping Us" advertising campaign. It was originally made available on an Eva-Tone Soundsheet & distributed to N&W Employee's via the July 1980 Issue of the The Norfolk & Western Employee magazine. It was subsequently used in Marc S. Balkin's 1987 Program, Rail's To Roanoke.

So that’s the actual name of the song, but the question is that who sang it? I read somewhere that it’s C.W. McCall, but I’m not too sure. Also great music video! Plus it’s nice to hear a higher quality version of the song.

In my own personal opinion, Norfolk & Western Class A 1218, Norfolk & Western Class Y 2156, and the song There’s No Stopping Us are nothing compared to Union Pacific Challenger 3985, Union Pacific Big Boy 4014, and the song Great Big Rollin Railroad.
