A tribute to the Wells Harbour Railway

The Wells Harbour Railway in Wells-Next-The-Sea has sadly closed down permanently by Holkham Hall Norfolk.
It is being replaced by vintage buses to and from the harbour and Pinewoods caravan park.
The miniature locomotives have now been moved to the Lappa Valley Steam Railway in Cornwall.
Farewell WHR, you will be missed!

the people of holkam estate should be ashamed of themselves. to just ignore public opinion and close this down. wells is just not the same without the little trains.

There should've been a protest outside Holkham Estate about not renewing the lease on the land where the Wells Harbour Railway is, I know that I would arrange one if I started the petition; I would invite lots of visitors to join the protest, and even have an area to make their own protest sign to hold up too. My slogan on the banner would say "Save Our Wells Harbour Railway, Holkham Estate should listen to public opinion, not kill off an iconic attraction at Wells-Next-The-Sea for no reason!" I would also chant this slogan through a megaphone too.

You never know it may reopen one day, sometimes railway lines close then reopen again.
