I am skeptical so far. I was disappointed with the story line on planet crafter, but I do think there is potential with this game

Press "v" for local scouting. Also expanding compartments is best done from inside like Planet crafter it makes the snapping automatic and automatic voxel removal just select the compartment in the build menu and point at a wall . There are nodes in clusters if you make the scanner you see the clumps so to the south you have 2 iron 1 quartz, copper, and cobalt in close proximity same for the north, etc. For your initial copper head due south from you pod and go over the hill/sm. mountain you should see it. For power just point at the windmill. Can also r-click on some build items in the workbench and assembly bench to queue 5 items still have to stay in the window though.

Hahaha, I don't know why Recording Bitz did not notice the Tsunami coming since the start of the game, but editing Bitz defiantly did and I was shouting at myself for not noticing it XD

The Analysis Radar shows the locations of mineral deposits on map once you've built one. you get the ability to build one by playing through the tutorial. white icons are Iron, blue is Cobalt, pink is Quartz and red/brown is Copper.

Satisfactory has no purpose. After building a huge factory, nothing changes, nobody comes. And TPC lacks automation. Eden Crafter is a perfect combination, plus the people will come live there once you prepared it for them and made it habitable.

@@Firise what we don't know about Satisfactory is what the story is in 1.0. That will be released soon. Bitz is a beta tester, but he has an NDA

This is the best game I've ever played a demo of. It has the stuff I love from Satisfactory, it has the stuff I love from The Planet Crafter and it's multiplayer so I can play it with a friend. By the way, after the tsunami you can continue play. The demo is quite extended. You can even have the first phases of terraforming. Once there is grass, the graphics of the game become quite doable.

when hand crafting you can que up multiple of the same item by using ctrl click rather than always holding down the mouse button. however you still have to be in the work bench menu to have the items get crafted it seems.

you can also continue after reaching the end of the tutorial and/or after the Tsunami but it knocks out your power generation so you'll have to rebuild them. however pretty much all your other buildings and batteries can survive the tsunami.

you can build the advanced solar panels after a bit and they don't get washed away, copper mine is through cave on mtn directly south of you also.

How high up does the tsunami hit? Can you avoid it by starting on high ground?

Already played, same spawn point. Keyboard v will get you a drone. Advanced structure Analysis Radar gets you Large Node locations on the map and HUD compass.

I would like to see a more fleshed out power management system instead of just plop things down and you have power. This game looks like it has a lot of potential!

As there appears to be water physics in this came, are you able to make a channel with mining rock and let the water flow down that channel? Like irrigaiton?

I'm on a 4070ti and getting around 90FPS. It's possible when you changed settings the frame limit didn't save or it was reset as 60FPS was the default limit.

Unfortunately not, it was something I tested.. I reduced the resolution to 1440p and got 144fps, increased it back to 4K and sitting around 60/70

in the story it's the large nearby moon which causes the tsunami to happen and it repeats.

So the problem is, these styles of game are a default template within Unreal Engine and Unity. Its up to the developers to adapt on top of that, with their own twist

Wouldn't that kind of prohibit using a game engine, if the first one that used it prevented anyone else from using it? That would make both Unreal Engine and Unity completely worthless.

Aye.. another one? Well, I guess PC didn't get around to it fast enough, and We've all wanted some form of factory, or automation! ...but I just cant stand when originality gets mirrored (aka improved upon). That maybe grain of sand on a beach to most folks, but I personally have stuck it out with PC's game development since it's first public release, watching it slowly become more and more. All that time I wasted away in PC, to see myself just shove it into the garbage bin and "run" to this game just cuz it's got converyor belts. haha Nah, I'm not that person. I just can't do it. For me it's got sentimental value at this point. Like making your child a treehouse from scratch, spending years in there - with them. And then just drop it like a lead weight cuz home depot has a prebuilt plastic treehouse on sale. Nope. I'll admit - it is VERY tempting, but no. I shall remain true and faithful. But thank you for the video good sir! It was a wonderful time. Much Love to all.

As long as they stick to the core of the game and don't deviate, adding stuff that makes zero sense for the game that it is then I am really looking forward to it. Techtonica just shot themselves in the foot with their latest patch. Adding laser tag into a factory game?. Like, who even comes up with this shit?.

I do feel like this, can be more then planet crafter. Especially with the voxel world, building pieces, planet exploration via vehicles and ships, and not forgetting factories and automation.
