Guys, if the creators don't come and ask for it for research purposes, how badly could you possibly be fckin something up?

To be fair, they did say that a lot of the mechanics added with the "Laser Games" update were integral and needed for their next big story content update. Also, the laser games are not the only thing added with the patch. The trailer does a bad job at telling you that, making you think that the laser games were the only thing added when that simply isn't true. If you read the dev notes and watch their videos, they initially had the dev team split up with some of them working on the main update, and others working on smaller content updates, which is why we had a bunch of weird small updates. They have now swapped to everyone focusing on the big update rather than splitting their focus. The other thing is that they were taking a lot of the input on their updates from the discord, and based off of what people said that they wanted, and what the devs thought they could quickly accomplish would dictate what was being made and when it was being released. What has been added has for the most part, been requested by the community on discord. I do agree that they did a bad job with the marketing on the latest update, and they themselves acknowledged that in their town hall Q&A recently. The one thing to recognize is that the game is still Early Access. Give it time to develop and come into its own.

Sucks they're not adding a whole lot for those who play since so long already.

I think the new buildings are gonna be used for Plutonium waste processing. As much as people want to defend the "sink or store" strat, it's the only implemented production chain that feels incomplete. Pluto waste goes in the mystery building, produces Plutonium Oxide (green liquid), goes into the Quantum Encoder with the item to make MOX fuel with helium as a byproduct (pink pipe), MOX fuel being used as a final Space Elevator Part

I'm hoping that part of the story is you can get on the space elevator and visit the space station that it's tethered to.

Those kinda looked like the road barriers, but a different look! Same shape! Kinda like you'd see on roads, & highways in this world!! Paintable road barriers? & I believe those were windows beside the belts! That angled look just reminded me of them! Makes a nice visual effect!

Oh man, this game. I was getting a bit burned-out (after 5500 hours of playing, so still pretty good score) but the hype of 1.0 draws me back to it almost every day. I am really looking forward to 1.0, oh boy. I'm gonna cry when the time is finally there lol

They've stated multiple times they're not sure if they'll have free or paid dlc or keep working on this project but tiers 10 and beyond would make for really good dlc content.

Starting again and knowing what we know, some of the builds are going to be out of this world. This game will be played constantly for many many months. Cant wait .

Plot twist: In secrecy, they made another, bigger map. We can access it when complete the assembly project and climb on the space elevator. And in this new map we will find the Crab boss

And won't Kibitz be disappointed that the tier 4 elevator requirements were just a placeholder :)

I always thought a good rework to the phase assembly stuff was that you were building a space habitat for further colonization. Would open up for a lot of opportunities beyond just unlocking, with creating a lot of different modules etc.
