Fun fact: Your baby hiccuping is them practicing to take their first breath of air! As you may know it currently gets oxygen from your umbilical cord, so it needs to practice using those lungs for the first time, and that's what hiccups were made for. And now they are just a silly thing our body remembers that was once very important to us all. 😌

As a studying to be psychologist, it’s really refreshing to see how you talk about pregnancy. You don’t glorify it, which is great as the glorification can cause some woman to want to be pregnant for attention but do not care for the child. The whole trend that was all ‘omg pregnancy is so magical’ and ‘it’s all so rainbows and awesome’ is really toxic. Yes , it can be magical to bond with a tiny human you created , but pregnancy is also shitty. You’re very transparent about it and especially during this time, handling it very well. You’re doing great. Don’t push yourself! Also: definitely look into a development games baby book. They’re full of little exercises and games you can do with your baby to stimulate for example their creativity or their walking. It can also track how your baby is on the aspect and is VERY handy so you can get to issues early. Anyway, you’re doing very well with pregnancy and COVID and I’m very happy for you,Stephen and baby girl.

Totally agree! During my pregnancy I felt so guilty because I wasn't all bubbles and sparkles all the time... I was extremely tired, in pain, stressed out and couldn't control my emotions. After my baby was born, now it came breastfeeding. The most painful thing I've ever experienced! (And I had a coughing attack after the c-section) Maybe my obgyn failed me, because I have semi-flat nips, which I didn't even know was a thing, so I was supposed to prep them during pregnancy to breastfeed, but didn't. Breastfeeding felt like a flame burning directly on my nips, so everytime I was crying and yelling, sometimes even pulling my baby away, and made me feel the worst mom in the world, because everybody says is magical and beautiful, but I suffered so much... That's my main reason for not wanting a second child. Toxic positivism can be so so dangerous.

@@gnyng88 All moms are so strong. You really went through it! I'm not having kids for a lot of reasons but as a nurse and woman I've been around many pregnancies and I just wish more women were real about it. Some pregnancies are easier than others and it's something we should learn about BEFORE we go through it. Of course nothing could ever fully prepare you but it's still better to have a wide variety of experience to hear about. This and the secrecy around miscarriages is just so heart breaking.. when we stay silent other women follow, and we internalize the shame and guilt that we shouldn't even feel in the first place. I myself and mostly every adult woman I know has had a miscarriage, yet we're somehow led to believe by society it's a rarity and probably something we did or didn't do correctly and not to talk about it. We're just animals and at the end of the day our bodies can only do so much sometimes. Just know, this internet stranger is proud of you for getting through it and speaking about it.

kateliness2 I do, actually! First of all, I’d highly recommend ‘ Positive Discipline A-Z’ by Jane Nielsen, Lynn Lott and H. Stephen Glenn. . It’s how to disciple your child based on mutual respect and positivity. It learns you how to make it a learning opportunity instead of a punishment , which will benefit the child themselves and benefit their relationship of trust with you. It’ll also learn how your child how to deal with mistakes and that it is okay to make them from a young age, which is something that is truly important, especially during the ages of 2-3 years old. I’d also recommend ‘the whole brained child’ by Daniel J. Siegel , it’s about balance of the child’s brain and how to stimulate certain parts of it. ‘The self driven child’ by Willam Stixrud and Ned Johnson is also a really good one , it’s about how to motivate your children when the motivation is lacking (this one is for 5-7 , which is a bit late on the list but still great) A few other books are: ‘125 Brain Games for Babies’ by Jackie Sielberg (the same author also has books for toddler games to) ‘Brain Games for Babies, Toddlers & Twos: 140 Fun Ways to Boost Development’ also by Jackie Sielberg. At last I’d also make a note about stimulating toys. You can make a quick google search and tons will come up to stimulate hand eye coordination, memory, walking even. I hope this helped a bit!

@@Wildflower253 that's so mean, you know nothing about him in real life and you shouldn't draw those conclusions. You see him MAYBE 15 minutes a week and only see the specific things they decide to show you. Of course he wouldn't want to heat up the pool every day, regardless of if you have the money or not, it's still not something that someone would want to do everyday. Even Sierra herself has said it cost a good amount of money and isn't ideal to heat up everyday. And besides, that's one thing. He has been one of the most involved KZfaq dads I have ever seen, and clearly looks so, so excited and happy to take this journey with Sierra. It doesn't have to be just a blanket that bubby gets attached to. My second had a thing for his older brother's yellow and red striped t-shirt, he wouldn't settle without it, in the end I had to unpick the shirt so we had multiple pieces in rotation for when "Stripey" was in the wash... It's amazing what little ones will be drawn to... Also, if you or someone else does any type of yarn crafts - knitting or crochet, if possible, have a couple of whatever is made so that piece can be in the mix too. My daughter had a hand knitted "fussy" cloth (a 12" square, like a large face washer) that my mum made for her, so mum made her 2 more so that it could be washed without drama... The most important thing to remember is, whatever you do will be the right thing for your baby... don't let others try to put you off whatever works for you and your little family... ;)) Can't wait to meet B.G., hope all goes the way you want it to and you have a happy, healthy baby, 'cause at the end of the day, that's what matters most...:)

My son's "blankie" was one we found in my grandmother's house. It didn't look old, but I think it was, and with repeated washings it actually disintegrated over time. Obviously, I'm not her, but I can speak from my experience. I had a rough time, might have been rougher than normal though because I gave birth this time last year when covid was new, and didn't know I was allergic to the pain relieving spray, and my baby was colicky for the first few weeks. It was a lot. But, a year later and I'm in a good place. It all got figured out, my body is shaped differently but fully repaired (except for my abs being a little weaker, but that's on me for not working on them). Everyone wonders, so yes, everything is exactly the same "down there" as before (though I seriously doubted it would be in the beginning, as I had a 2nd degree episiotomy that didn't want to heal properly). Physically and mentally more exhausted because it's a lot of work to take care of a child all day, but I had bad days before having her so I can't blame it on her. I will say that I have many more extremely happy moments throughout the day than I used to (but also more tired and frustrated ones, so it's a trade off). It really helps to go into it knowing what you're getting in for, and choosing it, but we don't always have that luxury.

@@mambowumbo Funnily enough, pink used to be the boy color (because it's a stronger color) while blue was for girls (since it's muted and calm). Even then, those standards came about around the early 20th century. Before then, people mainly dressed their kids in white for practical reasons. I can see how color coding could be useful, though I find it ridiculous when a boy wants to have something pink but his parents speak over him because "pink is for girls".

After the 3rd trimester u go into what is now considered the 4th trimester (with the baby outside the womb) I’d say aside from learning to breastfeed that part of the baby’s life is pretty easy, you might even be surprised at how normal life can feel still newborns sleep a lot! Once you leave that 4th trimester is really when the change of life as u knew it happens (in my opinion) I think you and Stephen are gonna be amazing parents.

I’ve been binging your videos for weeks and just recently stumbled on your pcos video and to see where you are now is absolutely inspiring. I also have been diagnosed with pcos and seeing you beat the “trouble” of getting pregnant is amazing. I love how honest and real you are, keep it up girl :)

I’ve heard not looking at yourself while brushing teeth helps with that feeling too. I feel you on the HR. My resting before pregnancy was like 50-55, during pregnancy like 90 and I can feel it too. It’s actually how I knew I was pregnant with my son.

I love that you were open and honest. When I was pregnant there were days I was miserable and I felt like I couldn’t say it because being pregnant everyone makes it seem like you have to be happy and fine 24/7. Seeing you pregnant makes me miss being pregnant but I had a very traumatic labor and delivery and nicu stay with my son. But all is well now and he’s a happy healthy 8 month old. And my rainbow/miracle baby.

Sierra, it's so refreshing to see how real you are during this time in your life. Pregnancy is not all smiles and happy moments. It has it's ups and downs just like life, in general. You seem to be handling it well. Blessings and Hugs to you, Stephen, Baby Girl, Bella and Bruiser 🤗 P.S.: Don't let the possibility of a c-section scare you too much. I know, from experience, that it's a scary thought and noone wants to have one. You're a strong young Woman and Baby Girl is too. No matter what happens, you've got this. Also, IF it comes to that, remain calm, watch the birth if they will allow you to (I watched mine... freaky, but worth seeing my little man (now 34yo) come into the world, and when they say you need to get up and move post c-section, do it... it may suck, but it'll get you back in full gear quicker and with little to no issues. Prayers for a normal, uneventful delivery 🙏

Mom tip: having more than one bouncer can be really helpful. My girl sat in them until she could sit on her own. I would keep one in the bathroom because I would often be home alone with her and didn't want to leave her unattended, and another one for the kitchen/office for getting things done.

@Lindsey Bailes yeah, but basically anything you can safely sit/lay your baby in will work, especially if they can see you. My baby loved watching me unload the dishwasher or fold clothes when she was around 3 months old.

So random and TMI but my baby was so low and was constantly putting pressure on me that I ended up with hemorrhoids after birth from her being down there so long! Just prepare for that in case it happens to you. I feel like no one tells about hemorrhoids and they talk more about tearing. Preparation H was my best friend and helped me more than the prescription they gave me So excited for you! Been watching your videos during my pregnancy and now sitting here with my baby girl watching them! :)

You’ve been doing so amazing this pregnancy Sierra! My mom has 6 of us girls and has had 5 miscarriages being all boys. She said after the 7th month she is lucky to be able to walk to the fridge without being out of breath and in pain. Im in no way shaming my mommy or any women that can’t exercise so I hope this is coming off in the right way and tone as English is my third language haha. But my point is that I just want to remind you and tell you in the most loving way that hey Sierra! Your body may not be able to do what it used to do as far as exercise or what you expect of it, but you’re 35+ weeks pregnant and literally growing a whole human and can give birth any day! And you’re still running a business, spending quality time with the hubby and puppies, making time for self care, and walking A MILE! You’re a rockstar mama! Much love and blessings ❤️❤️
