6OH3 Please accept my apologies: the last thing I wanted to do was piss you off. That was never my intention brother. I know you have priorities in life, absolutely. My comments were solely about the bike, not others like your daughter, who, of course, is a main priority. I feel bad that your bike got dropped in the process of getting the oil changed. I dropped mine on the the left side the second day I rode it trying a slow U-turn. Broke the end off the clutch lever, left foot peg and bent the shift lever, scratched the left fairings in several places and the bar end. These things happen. That first oil change is so important because all new bike engines generate wear-creating metal fragments in the first few hundred miles. That's normal, but they have to be removed by draining and replacing with fresh oil so the engine can continue to break in normally and retain long term performance. I noticed how much smoother your bike sounds since you changed it. That's great! Thank you for sharing your story. I now live in Oregon but I am from New England and lived in the Durham/Dover/Rochester area for a couple of years. I hope all the best for you. Two wheels down. Steve

I dropped my ninja 650 with 3 miles on odometer after putting the kickstand down on my front lawn. I was able to use a thick black sharpie to mask out most of the scratches. The emotional scars ran deep!
