For years after Vietnam, Warren had nightmares and problems with substance use. When he went to VA for primary care, he was connected to a therapist. After he was hospitalized for alcohol and drug treatment, his therapist recommended he learn to face some of his triggers. Now Warren has found sobriety and no longer has nightmares.

I love his accent. Beautiful. Thank you for serving. I have PTSD for other reasons, but my grandfather was in the second world war, and in Chorea. He never talked to anyone and was so mean, I was afraid of him as a little girl. Thank you for owning it, not being afraid to admit you need to talk.

@Sam you just don't get it Some of these guys rather take THC/CBD as opposed to prescription pills, considering all the side effects. Therapy helps but medication is needed, you haven't gone through what these men have

I'm sure these clips will benefit vets. A word of caution...in the first clip the black gentleman states "He was a tunnel rat in Nam from mid 1972/3. I worked at the Embassy in Saigon at that time and I don't recall our having any Marines out on patrol in fact very few Marines remained in country during that time. Perhaps his recall is off a bit.

Definitely no offense intended as I have tremendour respect for our military fighters. However, action was done around this guys supposed crawling tunnels. Maybe he meant a year earlier perhaps. Sadly I’ve met many people who abuse the benefits real fighters deserve. With that said I’m sure this guy was over there and I’m sure of told to crawl tunnels he would have done it. I just wasn’t aware of activity like that in those dates.

Donald Jones marines happened to be the last military personnel(non SF) to evacuate Saigon with the ambassador in 75. Must’ve forgot they guard all embassies around the globe.. but anyway, are we really naive enough to question this vet? I guarantee he probably chopped a few Charlies out the trees back in his day.. @srussert28There are VA employees that can help right away. Call the Veterans Crisis Line by dialing 988 (and Press 1) OR go to their live chat service by visiting www.veteranscrisisline.net and click on the red button in the top right corner of the page. It says, “Confidential Veterans Chat.” You can also send a text message to them at 838255. A responder will talk with you anonymously. We urge you to contact Veterans Crisis Line now. Don’t wait.

@@VeteransMTC Giggle....GafafAWWW... I called the crisis line. Mom died...family patriarch passed, Gout flared and a fairly decent migraine was setting in...I ask for ways to get my head around the obstacle and how to bump my thought process out of a....Really Bad Spiral of Death.... Where is your VA hospital? Who is your PCP? It kept going round and round so much I got fuckstrated and finally ended the call. I must admit I simply had questions on how to get out of a suicidal thought process. By the time I was finished with the call I had a full on plan and was hell bent to carry it out. My advise on calling a crisis line is this... if you are ready to KILL YOUESELF... HEY, call them first...they will confirm your thought process and then push you over the limit and help you on your way. My call was on Friday. SSSOOOoooo they screwed me over to a point they were going to let my VA PCP know what was going on and they would call me on MONDAY. THAT WAS THE FIRST TIME I EVER SET A PLAN IN MY HEAD. Friday I called in a major crisis. My Call made this One Thousand times worse. They would let my night of crisis pass, the 24 hours of Saturday pass, the 24 hours of Sunday PASS... then at 7:00 Monday my PCP would get my message... Mind you I let them Know I was out of state... so even If they could get my PCP I was several hundred miles away from them...I WILL N...E...V...E...R... RECOMEND CALLING A CRISIS LINE. If you keep records it will be easy to go back on my dead Moms obituary to get a time line... Fuckstrated should be added to the dictionary. I am sure if a thousand people who never heard the term were polled who called this line they would have similar definition. Not to be confused with my sisters term Flusterated... that is a much milder term... That person has never called this line.

This was of course compounded by another side effect I had. My Advise N...E...V...E...R... CALL A CRISIS LINE.
