Hello and welcome to Traveling with Luigi!
In this episode my wife and I will visit the beautiful temple of Luxor, located in the city of Luxor, in Egypt.
Join us as we explore this temple (no crowds), the courtyard of Ramesses II, the Colonnade of Amenhotep II, his courtyard, the Roman Sanctuary and the Sanctuary of Amun.
Four religions have worshipped in this temple: Ancient Egyptian, Roman, Christian and Islam. Learn about the column shapes on each courtyard, practice reading some hieroglyphics with us,

The lands over which the ancient civilisations dominate, Luigi - be they North Africa, the Meditteranean, South America, or Southeast Asia hold so much beauty - that we may learn from such cultures is (our) privelege, & as & when the opportunity presents itself, then my son & I shall venture there. I am a Physician, so currently (as you will appreciate), my concerns are for those who have suffered the ravages of this Pandemic - their needs, currently, supercede all else. Trusting that you & yours remain in fine health, Best, Andrew.

It blows our mind to think that more than 4000 years ago they were capable of building with such precision. The ancient alien theorists claim that mankind was helped by extraterrestrial beings to build them. Food for thought.

Very interesting and detailled videos that I discover on your Channel, Congratulation. Just a detail regarding this mosque build inside the Temple. Many attempt were done to displace it out of the Temple of Louqsor. Unfortunately, when a contractor come to start the removal, they received serious threat and finally abandoned the job to save their life....
