In Hallstatt close to Bad Ischl we can dive into a 7000 year old history of salt mining. In the 19th century the area was popular among people from Vienna who lived here in the summer - as the emperor Franz Joseph and his wife Elisabeth (Sisi). To combine this beautiful area with its lakes and mountains and its history with modern art is breathtaking.
