Man. What a messed up situation. Sad all-around as you said. As someone who has personal experience with mental illness, I could go on & on about all of the questions you posed. Suffice to say, it is important for people to address and bring to light the subject. I'm sure he's been interviewed by multiple Psychiatrists by now. Much blame to go around. Although I commend his Mother as well for doing all she could within her power to try to get him help and avoid this tragedy from occurring. *(Insert burp here.)

I live in the next neighborhood over from Cosmo and his family... This case completelyyyyyy took over the entire Philadelphia area when it was happening. This is all ANYONE would talk about for months. What an insane story.. sad shit.

Mental health problems are tuff i have a brother with BPD and when on his meds hes the best guy to be around when he isnt u better be far away

At the end of the day..with all that went on, mental illness really was what at the root of this man's problems. CTE and other organic brain disorders from either inheritance or brain injury can do a lot of damage, and make people without proper treatment do very bad things to others and themselves. Can't lie, for this guy the system failed him and the community, he really was very sick. This in no way excuses what he did at all, but this guy was more than a few cards short of a full deck. Great detail on this Jeff very informative on him and yes...on the mental health issues as well.

This is eerily reminiscent of the Whitewood gang from rural Pennsylvania in the movie At Close Range. A terrific film...this was an awful reminder of rural horror....great stuff Jeff......jail will be the hell they brought to those kids families.

Thanks Jeff, a sad story wrought with tragedy/neglect and severe mental illness in every aspect, the family/medical system and law enforcement all failed, but this kid deserves what he got because he knew what he was doing, stay in school kids.

As usual, Jeff, Great job! You did your homework and I know this because I I knew him. I won't get into my story, but he was truly a big thug and very much a lot of depression ridden behavior. Yes you could see it in his behavior, but nothing seemed to work. AND he did fall through the cracks and some doctors are responsible for his mental health melt down. What a life he had and LED. Great video Jeff…you really did a good job of investigating this story…it was spot on…I didn’t know any of the people involved but the company I worked for bought our materials from Metro ready mix so I was there every morning… Other than that there was a lot of rumors that went along with this story such as the DiNardos house was built on an old Indian burial ground and that’s why the house blessed by a priest or exorcism… Again thanks for another great video…

"I think it's always important to give individuals like this a platform to hear their side. There is the 'Iceman Kuklinski' interview with a psychiatrist that shed a lot of light on Kuklinskis behavior and gave us a better understanding on why he was. The 'Son Of Sam' David Berkowitz interview also was eye opening and showed a reformed side of him and his side of the story. I think a good start would be to ask the families of the victims of these two men how they feel about and what they think of these interviews and use that discussion as a foundation to enter into a discussion about doing a Cosmo DiNardo interview with the victims families. See how they feel about it first; it may re-traumatize them, and we certainly do not want that to happen: I would get their blessing first. Keep in mind that at the time of those two interviews, I believe both men had been in prison for a substantial amount of time before their interviews: Kuklinski 5 years and 10 years later he did another interview. You have a great platform; keep up the good work. Peace*"

I grew up in the Philadelphia area. I live in Ocean City now, but I still have Facebook friends who still live in bucks and Montgomery county that posted about this case. What I remember (someone correct me if I'm wrong), he tried selling the car he was arrested and was highly suspected of the disappearances, but he got out on $100,000 bail. I couldn't fathom why they would even let him out when he's suspected of 4 murders, but I guess money helps......
