@@oliviawutam not just American tho... I live in Poland, I'm 20yo and there is this 28yo woman in my group in college that started bullying me with her friends like a month ago bc I defended a professor (nicely) bc they wanted to get him fired bc they didn't understand the topic (he told us to tell him if we don't understand something, he asked every 5minutes if we get everything and they just nodded yes everytime since the begining of this class lol) and they wanted "easier" one after we had one class with other professor that couldn't do basic math from highschool and told us she doeas way easier class. he was replaced but with even "harder" professor. but this one is from one of the best univerisities so no one is going to fire him bc he has the prestige. karma. they couldn't understand a thing. they wanted change and they got what they wanted lol. thank god I'm a smart ass (but even for me it was hard to keep up). and also those girls that bully me were my friends in the beggining and now I don't have anyone to talk to. besides my cousin which goes to the same uni but she's from Ukraine so we don't communicate the best. at least I can sit with her during lunch tho

I was eventually told by the popular boys in school that this was the case for me. It really fucked with my mental health and now I’m an adult I look back and realised how little I viewed myself and how beautiful I was, but yet I was bullied and made fun of because I was seen as weird when actually it was my ADHD and my boarder line personality disorder. I wish I had learned to love myself sooner, but I am glad that I love myself now and have self respect and admiration for how far I’ve come in my self esteem 😊

I've read a japanese book about a girl named Aria who had a twin sister in a coma. She then went to school and tried to find out who tried to kill her sister. The whole time I thought that Aria was just has a bipolar disorder and she didn't actually have a twin. Seeing this makes me think of that book. The conclusion of the book was that her comatosed twin sister is the actual villain of the story. She was the one who tried to kill the girl that managed to push her off the widow as self defense and she just pretended to be in a coma so other people will be blamed. I forgot how the story ended but it had so many plot twist.

The fact that Airam is just her and doesn't truly exist wasn't mentioned by the narrator. She suffers from a bipolar disorder with numerous personalities; the name airam is akin to the name Maria. (basically the name maria backwards). a fictional character she created in her mind-a more self-assured version of herself who actively defends herself.
@englishatheart
@englishatheart Жыл бұрын
Because that is just you projecting your theory. The movie made it seem far more likely that it's the spirit of her dead twin. Why bring up the dead twin otherwise? Why show the mother having flashbacks to the twins' birth and showing that the dad killed the twin for being "deformed"? This is a fictional movie. It doesn't have to use real world logic.

@@englishatheart because spirits do not live in mirrors. It is just a thin coat of silver that reflects (her) light. Because you can't switch places into a mirror. If that could happen you would not need a mirror. How did Maria see and know what Airam was doing if she was in the mirror world? She wasn't Maria was in Maria's head because they are one and the same. She says if I was my twin I would kill you. The twin plot was added to throw you off and to show you HOW Maria came up with the whole idea. She blames the murders on her dead twin. The end shows her comforting her mom as both twins. don't forget Airam or Maria, spelled backward is the same because they are one in the same but opposites i.e. a mirror image. Airam was never named it was Maria that came up with that name. BTW the end shows both twins in bed with Amy but Maria is not really there.

Wanting to gang up on me and kick my ass. And all because my Mom couldn't afford to buy me nice clothes or help me get my teeth fixed. It wasn't her fault that my P.O.S. sperm donor father wouldn't work a day in his life. Because he was a pathetic loser who felt drinking and verbally and physically beating his wife and kids on a daily basis was more to his delight. Thus not supporting his family and making our lives a living Hell. Oh yes wise one I do see your point clearly. Note the sarcasm there? But your right about one thing. No one will save you! @@sugaseyes9147 well, I’m not abouta start an argument with you on a fictional character. Especially when there’s another reading possible that in fact there’s no twin sister but the girl’s alter ego in the mirror. So your point of ‘when one child is killed’ doesn’t stand. Allow me to check this situation removed from its fictional existence and tell you what, depression and trauma isn’t something that simple as far as I understand it. It can affect different people in different way. I’ve seen people with mild depression Living in a room full of unwashed clothes and not caring enough to take a bath for 11 days. So yeah. Writing comments about the manifestations of depression and calling out a victim like that is easy but actually living as one is difficult. Like the other person in this thread said, some people even commit suicide of depression. It’s that deep. Caring for others, for at least some of them, would be their least of worries.

@@aneesaali1297 let me make one thing very clear , I'm not hear to give a speech on depression or how it works or not nor I'm in a mood to hear a speech from others , it's my opinion about the character which l was stating in context of the movie. Secondly, don't go around contrasting people's opinion and then say 'l don't wanna argue". People can have different opinion regarding "one character" and that's fine you don't need to agree with my ideology of standing up against every situation and l don't need to agree to your belief of being extremely traumatized to let your loved ones get killed or let alone kill themselves as the other person commented. Beauty can be a dangerous thing for both parties. One sees a beautiful flower they can’t help but pluck it, especially dangerous when they don’t know that the flower is poisonous. We see beauty through many standards. Sadly one of those is as a threat and some destroy it to feel more beautiful themselves. Others desire it in a similar manner and decide to possess it. Even if that’s against the will of the beautiful source. Why do we pluck flowers, why do we pin insects to walls/kill them for no reason, cage birds who should be flying free? Why do rapist and killers kidnap or drug women instead of talk and get to know them? We feel we lack of beauty and in that desire for it we destroy other sources of it. Only humans can be so foolish to harness the engines of our own destructions and the same can be said about beauty.

Thing is there are quite a lot of stories about bullies. In High school I remember a kid then tried to bully me he pushed me to the wall and was staring at me and after I told him to go away and he didn't I just headbutted him and broke his nose. When he returned and threatened me again and made me say I was sorry in front of everyone in class I said I was sorry he didn't bleed more because I like watching others bleed with a smile on my face. The guy got so freaked out he thought I was a psychopath and never even came close to me again. Even on our 10 year reunion he did not even look at my eyes or talk to me. Bad side of this was some other people in class were also scared of me and avoided me, because I was also a fan of horror movies and spoke with great passion about them, so kind of had this psycho persona and was never bullied. Overall just make your bully fear you, bullies are weak when it comes to thinking and they prefer bullying weaker people if you at least give this aura that you are a dangerous person for them they will leave you alone.

What an uplifting movie!! It reminded me of American Beauty. What seems to be the perfect life is anything but.

this sounds partially like the Malignant film, considering Maria has a sibling inside her that evidently takes over her body to attack people. Though, its a tad more than that considering Malignant's protagonist never actually conversed with her sibling and the posessions occured while she was unconscious or forced into an illusionary world. Frankly, those people deserved what they got. Well, except for Josh as he was the only thing good for Maria and her ghostly twin. That was unfortunate, but I cannot hate or fault her for what her volotile sibling did. Especially, since Dan killed one of his daughters just cause he was a perfectionists. Infanticide, murder of innocent women, and the murder of horses and dogs are things i cannot forgive. The people who do those horrible acts deserve death.

In real life, a beautiful girl like her with rich parents would be far from unpopular

Whoever it was that posted this video went through great lengths to completely avoid posting the frigging title to the movie so we knew what to call it.

I think saying the name could get the video taken down, but I don’t know how all the copyright rules work. There’s usually a pinned comment with the title, which this video has as well.

That girl is way too attractive to be bullied by literally everyone. It's just not believable.

@@babyyy___ I don't doubt that the girls do the bullying. There is no way in Hell that a heterosexual teen boy would bully this girl unless he is secretly in love and too immature to process it.

Maria isn't weak the bullies are. Someone who is bullied are incredibly strong ... To be able to get up every day and face continual abuse is unbelievably gutsy. What these bullied kids dont realise is that they are worth a 1000 of these bullies and their cohorts. To be unsupported when it is happening must be devestating. To call these kids weak couldnt be more wrong
