Welcome to a WEEK in my life in Longyearbyen, the world's northernmost town. I have tons of things to do this week so we are heading into the village to get my passport done, to go skiing, grocery shopping etc. OH and by the way - the snowstorms are still here! Hi Cecilia. I really enjoy your videos so much. I am an Italian/American New Yorker, Long Island, living in South Carolina. The Hilton Head area. I miss the snow and the cold weather so much. You, Christoffer and Grimm are such a happy little family. You have a really nice life. You inspire me to do so many things in my home as well. I lost my husband almost 6 years ago. Me too, this channel has truly helped me to find more beauty in winter and I know it sounds a little over the top but that has honestly changed my life. I used to hide behind winter as the reason for feeling bad, being sad, not getting enough exercise etc... And I've stopped doing that.

I'm fascinated by taking your boots off during the passport and medical visits - it makes perfect sense to avoid tracking snow everywhere, but it was so unexpected to me to see you walking around a government office and the dentist's in your socks!

Hey had a few questions regarding living in Norway . Is learning Norwegian Language a must for finding a job, especially jobs in IT ? Read in some sources that it can be tough to make friends in Norway in general. As a Non EU zone citizen (Australian) what would you say is the best way to find a job , find it online and then move ? Do companies prefer Norwegian people over other ethnicities ?

Rewatching this as I have a “doing stuff at home” reset day… I love how there’s an outdoor boot rack even in the public service buildings! When I lived in Switzerland everyone took their outdoor shoes off and had indoor shoes especially in the wooden floor chalets. I have brought this practice to my home in urban UK and ask people to take their shoes off at the porch

Although I live in a very cold climate, I love watching Cecilia, Grim and Christoffer live a wonderful life in a cold place. So many people in the US run/move/vacation to/in the warmer climes. And I do too, a bit, but much prefer cold and mildly cool climates. Good on you guys for showing us the beauty of nature in a cold place.

The scenery is breathtaking….I could sit in front of that window forever and look at that water…and if warm enough would rather be outside. Love the cabin…it’s beautiful. And absolutely adore the doggie…he looks so happy!
