Seriously Melissa, you live in one of the most beautiful places in the world. We were fortunate enough to visit Canada in early Spring, last year. My Hubby proposed to me at Lake Louise. I live in a very old house. From what I've heard, original part of the house was built in 1847. I do know that one person has for sure died in this house. The woman who died was an older lady who lived here alone. Her daughter came over and found her dead on the kitchen floor. Sorry if that's graphic, but my point is... I love this house. I was sooo nervous about buying it after I found out someone died here. But it's all about vibes. I loved this house the second I walked in. I've been living here for almost four years and I've never felt any weird or negative vibes (although I still smudge it occasionally, mostly just because I find it relaxing). Honestly, people die in houses pretty often. And like you said, there's history with any house, but especially old ones. So as long as the place feels right for you, you're fine.

Finally someone else who goes to Tim Hortons for food and Starbucks for coffee hahahaha

I think the house should be fine as she didn't die there, and you said you got a good vibe there. If you want you can use white sage to clear your house of any negative energy. One of my friend's who is a group life coach (holding group sessions at her house) always uses white sage (I think that's what it is) after people leave her house as she doesn't want the negative energy to possibly linger. Open all your windows while doing that. Congratulations on renting a new place, it's always so fun to decorate and live somewhere different. Sending you much love & positive energy from Toronto!!
