I had very similar hair to you, I overly heat styled and bleached my hair when I was younger and had extensions in all the time, it was stuck at my shoulder length for 8 years. I stopped getting my hair bleached (but didnt want to dye it my natural mousy brown) I rocked 5" + roots and only air dried my hair for 2 years. My hair is now so long and as thick as my hair can get. Its such a commitment but so worth it

We have the same hair and YES! I never wear it down unless its like very styled and even then, I throw it up into a bun or ponytail as soon as I can. It just feels annoying when its touching my neck/face/shoulders. I really want to get extensions that are not clip ins but I am so worried I'll be bald

A couple years ago my scalp started getting flaky; I live in Alaska so it's pretty dry and cold and I think the water at the place I used to live wasn't good. Anyway I started using the neutrogena t/sal buildup whatever shampoo, and I got a shampoo massager brush which helps by exfoliating the scalp and also massages your follicles which is supposed to improve hair growth too. I started the shampoo in March and felt a difference immediately, fell in love with it. Then the brush in July, and together it's insane how good and clean my scalp feels and how healthy my hair feels, it's getting silkier! And I can go longer without washing now! 10/10 recommend both items 😊 I bought my brush on shein but it's on amazon, too. I bought 10 off amazon to give for Christmas to every woman in my life hahaha

I have to admit - I do have pretty thick long hair but now I see how much wearing sombre for the last two years have destroyed it 😭 I need to chop it a bit and go back to my natural colour. I’ve been using Gisou hair oil for two weeks and already noticed crazy difference, I really hope it’s not a placebo effect 🤞🏻 But I feel you on jealousy, I’m super jealous of people’s nails since mine are super brittle no matter what I do, I’ve been getting gel for the past three years and loving it but recently I got a really bad allergy so I’m officially done 😩

First off- this hair colour looks gorgeous on you- it really complements the colour of your eyes. Second- the hair is mostly all about genetics. Of course- hormonal disbalance, smoking and a poor diet could also damage it, but girl- it is what it is. I am blessed with a natural thick hair, however! I notice that during the periods in time when I eat vegan it loses shine and sheds more. I think cutting your hair short could really give your hair a boost- perhaps a parisian style bob? Keep healthy and love yourself, rest is just vanity x

Hey hun, there's some research that caffeine increases the DHT in the scalp, which causes hair thinning and shedding. Maybe try reducing the coffee intake for a bit and see how ur hair reacts

I had to get tested for that gene because my mom has it and had breast cancer. Unfortunately I have it as well. Definitely a good thing to know though because you can do some preventative things then! Hope you’re lucky enough not to have it though! 🤞🏻
